Police have admitted they were wrong to arrest protesters and have paid compensation.
The story dates back to March 2008 when we reported that 3 fathers rights protesters were arrested in Wolverhampton >Link to original news<

Ray Barry explains, "3 of us were arrested in 2008 during a peaceful, orderly protest against draconian Police actions against fathers."
"Following an internal Police investigation and a claim for damages, the Police have finally paid up and admitted they were in the wrong."
"To arrest us during a peaceful protest simply because fathers rights protesters have a reputation for climbing on buildings was, as the Police report put it, “too great a leap of faith.”"
"It is a small victory, but an important one."

That they were arrested for a peaceful protest only reinforces the claim that the police powers are misused and draconian when dealing with fathers.

Wife : "I dreamt they were auctioning off dicks. The big ones went for ten dollars and the thick ones went for twenty dollars."
Husband : "How about the ones like mine?"
Wife : "Those they gave away."
Husband : "I had a dream too...I dreamt they were auctioning off pussy. The pretty ones went for a thousand dollars, and the little tight ones went for two thousand."
Wife : "And how much for the ones like mine?"
Husband : "That's where they held the auction."

That's bittersweet.
They still managed to take a jab at fathers rights protesters:
So, there is an admittance that the police were wrong but not without saying that fathers rights protesters were wrong first.because fathers rights protesters have a reputation for climbing on buildings
As far as I am concerned, climbing on building doesn't hold a candle to the brutality that the police dish out."If Blizzard expects you to be always online to play their game. Then Blizzard need to always be online whenever you want to play it."- Unknown internet poster

A good way to get the guvmunt to pay for Father's Rights groups.

How much was the 'compensation'?

At least we have a positive outcome which is a lot more than we would have had ten years ago..
It's a positive and let's look at it as just that..
