20 months (released after 10?) hardly seems fair for 13 YEARS of deception and thousands of Pounds' worth of fraud.

And what of the poor confused child?

I'm surprised she got any jail time. Makes you wonder just how many men have been conned into paying for children that are not theirs.

A man in Iowa recently won a lawsuit against the Iowa DCS for garnishing his paycheck for 8 years for a child that was not his. It seems that during a random audit, an outside audit company found the state had knowledge that the man was not the father of the child, but collected child support from him anyway.

It's amazing how quickly the judge slapped a gag order on the man and his lawyer. The papers are not reporting on this case, or have a simple one or two sentence story buried way in the back of the paper.

I will see if I can get more information on this and post it. For a state to knowingly use the force of government authority to take money from an individual when the facts were clearly known that the man was not the father of the child brings in the RICO act, which is a really serious federal crime.

20 months. A little less than two years. She will very likely be out in 9 months.

I hope by then the man can have taken the time and care to reconcile his necessary action with the non-biological daughter. She will find the whole matter very hard to deal with. An innocent victim of a lying, scheming mother.

The consequences of this tragedy will mark the innocent lives of the father and child for ever. But better a wound such as this be worn with some dignity.

Here's my response as 'Magnus Carta' on DM: The UK government would have to build at least a thousand new women's prisons to start with, to begin filling them with women who are paternity fraudsters. Worldwide you'd be looking at 10s of millions of new female inmates! Children are coldly viewed as nothing more than annuities by these mercenary women. One means of countering this massive problem would be to introduce a mandatory DNA test for every newborn. This would greatly curb one lucrative component of 'the woman racket.' I wonder if vote hungry politicians have the cojones to implement such a measure?
