I live amongst this, as we all do. It's complicated and like most community politics, ..... they know where the money will be best spent but there's too many groups who want the money that there's not enough to go round.

We can no longer say "only in America" because there are thousands of feckless parents like her in Britain, Australia and elsewhere who show utter contempt for society's standards but expect that same society to support them.

Does society really have an obligation to house and feed those who will not contribute to society and it's advancement? I am not speaking about people who cannot work because of medical or mental issues, but in a broader sense the people who refuse to work and contribute because "it's their right". Take a look at 3rd world countries; either you work at something, anything to earn so you can eat, or you starve. Yet the UN and NGO's bring in massive amounts of food aid with a sizable chunk stolen by corruption and the governments both local and country.

Does this create an atmosphere where people can contribute to society? No. It creates a dependency mentality and fosters hatred. The hatred stems from being given just enough to survive and nothing else. If the NGO's or the UN are giving me food to eat for me and my family, then they need to build me a house and schools for my children. They need to build me a street and buy me a car. In the give-take mentality, I give you an egg, you want to take my carton of eggs because I have more than you do.

This is exactly what unending welfare does. It creates a dependence mentality that is toxic to both parties. The harm done to individuals and to society is incredible. The upside is that it keeps the police employed, social services employees employed, politicians in positions of power. Nietzsche postulated that higher society is built on the backs of the poor. I think he was right.

Our modern society has allowed the feckless and plain lazy people to have a public funds teat to suckle on with no real plan to move them into work that will benefit society. What more money? Push out another kid. In the video, the mother is complaining and demanding that the state give her assistance and housing.

Let's look at the reality of the situation:

12 Kids by multiple fathers
No job skills
Has been on assistance her adult life
No formal education
feels that the state, child protection services owes her (money, housing, etc)
Homeless

Being a baby factory doesn't pay much anymore, does it?

I feel for the kids, they really don't have a choice in the situation.

With 15 kids how can she possibly work...poor thing,she is a victim of society.

Having only 1 child is already hard to raise, what about 15 of them. I guess she should be blame also coz she even dont try to control it.

I guess I see this from a different point of view. She had a choice every time she had sex of whether or not to use protection. No one but herself has the final say over her body. She knew the risks, but yet took the chance anyway. These kids never had a chance. She never gave them one because of her selfishness. I don't care what her excuse is because no one put a gun to her head and forced her to have these children. She could have done the right thing and put them up for adoption but she didn't. Again, she gave them no chance at a life. In my book, that is child abuse. She intentionally stifled the growth of these kids to become productive members of society due to her selfish lazy ass.

Women have more choices than men when it comes to prevention of unwanted pregnancy and whether or not to raise a child. There are all types of birth control out there for all types of women. There are all types of safe havens for women who chose not to raise a child. Women who do not utilize these avenues have no one to blame but themselves for the choices they have made and to expect money from the government, neighbors and the daddies just shows the type of person she is and it's not a type that should be raising children. Sorry, but I feel nothing but contempt for a woman like that and the children need to be saved soon or they will may turn out like her. We don't need more people like that in our society.

Have seen the video already when she posted it but that is what I meant. Sorry that it wasn't clear enough. Besides condoms and vasectomy, men have no other preventive measures. I just figured it was a given fact that didn't need much emphasis. I just was making my point that it really stops with the woman and she has no one to blame but herself.

So she wants my money does she? The money my government takes from me to better society - she wants it, does she. Well, I'll help raise those kids but not her. If she wants any financial help to raise those kids, she can get herself spayed, start learning (there's plenty of home study courses) to get a job and set herself targets to stop herself and her kids being a drain on society.

If she doesn't want to do anything for herself or society, I want nothing to do with her. If she can't pay for the kids, find someone to adopt them, who will pay.

Separate point:
Why is a "deadbeat dad" only one who has been kicked out of home and denied custody of his children? Why is that label never used for men like those who fathered all these children?

You see this done in Sub Saharan Africa and India. There the government is not there to rescue you if you made choices like that woman did. Perhaps half or more of her children would die of disease and malnutrition.
In America not so, a great reproductive strategy here.

Still she was able to survive until here man got put into jail, that's when everything went downhill.
That speaks a lot about how valuable have a man really is!
