On Working

A reader requested I address this subject and so I shall.

Here is what Genesis 3:17-19 has to say:
And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed [is] the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat [of] it all the days of thy life; Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field; In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou [art], and unto dust shalt thou return.
In brief, Adam's curse promises work will be a bloody hassle. Lest there be any doubt, personal experience assures me the curse is still in full force.

Why do I work? Is it because I find it to be enjoyable? Do I wake up in the mornings and commence dancing about and bursting into song at the prospect? Certainly not! Be assured there is a reason workers have to be enticed by compensation, whether it is a grade, certificate, degree or, most commonly, money. If I am to spend time working, I wish to be compensated adequately for it. After all, there are opportunity costs I pay by showing up to work. This is simple economics.

Even among the people who say they "love" their jobs still seem to have no shortage of negative experiences to share. Is this at all surprising?

Can one's experiences "on the job" be occasionally positive? Yes, but I would argue it is despite the nature of the work, not a result. Although I generally find my retail employment to be very frustrating, I can still find some ways to amuse myself. Having agreeable, especially amusing, coworkers can help make a job bearable, but that is only one part of the equation. The other part is the clientele, who are more often than not disagreeable. Of course, one's superiors can provide consternation, but I have been fortunate in that regard. I only recall one job where I had a superior I was on less than friendly terms with.

My philosophy is to work to live, not live to work. The pursuit of riches and prestige is not on my agenda. In an upcoming article, I will address the subject of money.

Biblical Examination of Feminism

So much of the bible is symbolic, with lessons imbedded right in, which apply to us both as individuals and as a society; with the hardships of the past serving as ready guides for our future.

One lesson to derive from the garden of eden is the danger of men falling due to their natural lust for women. In other words, the serpent, namely Satan, used women in an attempt to destroy mankind in the very beginning. He did so, presumably, because approaching men, (in the original case- Adam), would not be effective - likely because Adam would be more apt to see through the deception. However, if Eve were approached, and seduced to partake of the apple, she could be used as an effective instrument to seduce Adam as well.

Looking at the broader implications of the garden of Eden story, we can see the parallels to today. Eve in our time, representing women in general, has been hoodwinked into believing that feminism is the answer she is looking for. Eve convinces Adam, representing men in general, that feminism is a just system, based in equality, when in reality it is the poisoned promise of an evil serpent.

Prophetic verses, no where spoken of from any pulpit, tell us of a future in which feminism will become the dominant ideology, and once again reiterate the garden story.

Turn if you will to Isaiah 3 verse 12 (I always wanted to say that!): "As for my people, children are their oppressors [see child-aged murderers, rapists, arsenists and petty thugs of today's generation], and women rule over them [sounds a lot like today's world once again]. O my people they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths." [note that the theme is the same as that presented in the garden, and that following this path, will lead to self-destructive outcomes - the serpent's underlying intent in presenting the coveted apple in the first place]

Later, in verse 16: "Moreover the Lord saith, Beacause the daughters of Zion are haughty, and walk with stretched forth necks and wanton eyes, walking and mincing as they go, and making a tinkling with their feet: (17) Therefore the Lord will smite with a scab the crown of the head of the daughters of Zion and the Lord will discover their secret parts." [translation, because women have become sleazy, overly proud and without remorse for their actions, they shall suffer terribly, just as their nations suffer]

Oh, but wait, there's more. If everyone would turn in their bibles to Isaiah 4 verse 1, because I want there to be no doubt in anyone's mind, that God is directly targetting feminism here: "And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man saying, We will eat our own bread and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by thy name, to take away our reproach."
[Isn't this precisely what feminism does? In the case of the bull-buster attack, it was 3 large women attacking one man, but the premise remains the same. Pay particular attention to how the verse ends - "called by they name, to take away our reproach". No matter what damage feminism does in terms of violent crime, child poverty, divorce and just general good old serpent-inspired societal breakdown in general, no matter what, feminists tell us that this is a man's world and that the problem lies with the patriarchy!

Take note men's rights activists, for unto you a child is given and unto you a child is born.

In the darkest of times, strong men shall stand with loud voices proclaiming the evil of these times. Isaiah 5, verse 25 and on: "Therefore is the anger of the Lord kindled against his people, and he hath stretched forth his hand against them, and hath smitten them: and the hills did tremble, and their carcases were torn in the midst of the streets. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still. (26) And he will lift up an ensign to the nations from far, and will hiss unto them from the end of the earth: and, behold, they shall come with speed swiftly: (27) None shall be weary nor stumble among them: none shall slumber nor sleep; neither shall the girdle of their loins be loosed, nor the latchet of their shoes be broken: (28) Whose arrows are sharp, and all their bows bent, their horses' hoofs shall be counted like flint, and their wheels like a whilrwind: (29) Their roaring shall be like a lion, they shall roar like young lions [note here the reference to "young lions" - the same term is used later to refer to those who do battle with the dragon in the end times of the earth, and who are, sadly defeated]: yea, they shall roar, and lay hold of the prey, and shall carry it away safe, and none shall deliver it."

If there is some question of the warning inherent, let there not be, for it is meant for us, and we shall partake of the same fate if it goes unheeded:

Isaiah 6: 10: "Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert and be healed. (11) Then said I, Lord, how long? And he answered, Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be utterly desolate, (12) And the Lord have removed men far away, and there be a great forsaking in the midst of the land." [This is our time also. Clear danger signs have been ignored and the truth silenced by the media. We stand at the self-same precipace. Will we fall over, or catch ourselves upon the edge before it is too late?

"If the pen is mightier than the sword, best keep it sharp."

Re: On Working

Yes, correct on all scores. Yet as in the book the Church Impotent the Christian writers points to how men continue to leave the church, and refomers continue to adjust the word of God for fashion and desire.

Many men who are traditionalists, and or believe in theological teachings, can't belong because the faith & the desire crowd, who claim to believe in God and Christ (and sin a lot and repent a lot), get top billing over other men who sin less and repent to themselves and refuse to be swayed by others to go along with saying he believes in a Deity when he does not. Should a man say I do, when he doesn't to belong?

A bridging between such men and the Christian men is a top priority, for I've been surprised to find so many atheists and agnostics that want to support Christian morality, but are effectively band for they must admit the Deity over their honor and follow the Deity's over the ideas the Deity stands for. A church that allowed such men in and adhered to James' ideas of not endless sining a lot and repenting a lot would go far. The other idea I'd suggest is women be band from such gatherings.

While those who accept the Deity and then mix up the morality, adjust the laws of their God and or pick and choose things they like are effectively and unoffically embraced by the church. I plead guilty on picking and choosing the Deity too, but will stand my ground on following the morality with most men (proudfully or otherwise). Honorable men find such system to be confused, and may explain why the pews are filled with women.

St. Morris for example is a great honorable man and a symbol to help black men, but he was a warrior, and that makes him out of fashion. This must be changed for he is the way to save so many black men who are suffering with the feminist culture. A picture of St. Morris' Lance, which is said to have been used on Christ, is on our innner shield symbol along with Cinncinatus' and Socratic symbols. All were passively brave even though they could have been agressive brave when need be too. Women who are passively brave or indirectly brave cannot be agressively & directly brave. The qualifications for membership in the church today is that of women's limited skills.

Re: On Working

I think many people are craving a traditional morality, but are unable to believe in what the church is telling them. That's a major problem.
