KellyMac's Coffeehouse and Reading Room Announcing a brand new forum for all you MRA-types. I've been hearing for more and more women telling me they disagree with feminism and asking what they can do. There are a lot of forums (fora?) on the internet that address this subject, but frankly, and I think you'll agree, most of them are fairly scary places for a woman to show up. So I (with the help of my BB, Egghead) have opened one that is woman-friendly, although everyone is certainly welcome. It is definitely a place for people to meet to talk about feminism and activism, but a large portion of it is dedicated to more diverse interests as well. There are some various categories set up, but keep in mind it is a work in progress. I have a couple of sections for blogs, and if I ever figure out how to set up RSS feeds (how hard can it be?) I'll set some up for various blogs to automatically post there. If you have any you would like to see, or if you want your own blog there, let me know and I'll give it my best shot. So you're all cordially invited to pull up a chair, grab a cup of joe, and let's chat. http://kellymac.adamsspace.com More...

I've read your blog KellyMac. Its good. I have looked over your BB. Looks OK. But what's the benefit of coming over there? It takes a while to get a BB up and popular and attract a regular group but MRAs are generally cautious (well, I am). What do you want to do that is different? If you get a number of like minded women, I might drop by. If you get some women who can give a supportively critical analysis of the MRM and of feminism it might help.

Oddly, I was thinking of re-opening my old forum and getting a woman to run and moderate it as a female-friendly forum for our issues.. There are a great number of women who disagree with feminism. Lets face it, anyone with a sense of decency, common sense and a brain basically has to!

Good luck with you're endeavour Kelly. "If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.
