    Thumbs up Dads in Distress and sacred cows of Australia!

    To all DIDSS members and friends of Dads in Distress
    I would like to remind you of the amazing efforts Bill Kosmopoulos has put in to prepare himself for his first ever triathlon in Bali next week. Bill flys out of Australia Tuesday and sends this message;
    I'm writing to let you know that finally after 4 months of sweat, blood and tears, I'm departing for Bali this Tuesday morning to participate in the International Bali triathlon.

    As mentioned, I'm extremely grateful, fortunate and humble with the support i've received throughout this crazy journey.

    This challenge has served many purposes such as raising funds, exposure to my chosen charity and perhaps self development and I have no regrets.

    I thank you for reading my blogs and your emails of support have been overwhelming to say the very least. I've attracted a substantial amount of media interest and I hope I've done it justice.

    I will be updating my blog daily whilst in Bali with some insights and laughters so make sure you jump on my website.
    For more details go to the following link on our website extracted from our recent newsletter, and see how you can support Bill and DIDSS.
    Get Behind Bill!

    Bill Kosmopoulos has proven he is not crazy, just committed. The 40 year old former dad in distress is more comfortable on the couch than running a triathlon, but he is willing to endure training in Melbourne's Winter to enter the Bali International in searing heat on June 26. Why? And why should we get behind him?
    Thanks to Bill and to everyone supporting him.
    Regards

    how about introducing the royal couple to some of the children who were victim's of divorce and the court enforced alianation of their father's?
    aahhh- i guess the pettiness of justice for children and their right to a father shouldn't ruin the royal visit and the fantasia that goes with it

    As much as I understand 'for the sake of the children' we should all band behind children's rights, I'm sick of it already. Australia has now made it mandatory to dob in parents else a $5,000 to $20,000 dollar fine.

    From my personal studies of child protection (done cause I'm up against those who study as child protection agents) it seems fathers are caught up in all this because they have been placed in giving discipline.

    Besides Australia's social workers giving the formula for risk assessment that is used around the world, New Zealand added do it's evolution "Three Houses" where children place parents and situations as either good, bad, or different. Bad is daddy for handing down a punishment for children fear the punishment - it can be mummy too but studies show it to be a daddy thing, so children are asked immediately, "How does daddy make you feel when.....?" Thus it's in the best interest of children to have daddy's supervised when around children.

    @Julie, a father since the beginning of time has been responsible for discipline. Why do you think society as we know it today in the western is at it is today. It is called a single mother home. No wonder most men from single mother households are in jail, they had no one to kick their ass once in a awhile.

    What fool ever thought up that raising a family did not take discipline? Only feminist fools thought such things.

    the God of course is political correct feminitism which is an agenda to benfit wimyn in every way possible at the expense of the despised,reviled and trashed menfolk;

    all logic subsumes to the feminit bullstwang and is assiduously inflicted on the heads of men at every opportunity - children for the ex wife ( er partner) of course ! that is understood

    I reiterate memory of an interview I saw about 30 years ago where the journalist was interviewing a recently divorced young new age gal- to closely paraphrase:

    journlist: what do you think of your divorce !

    Libby: waal I got the kids and the house and he is paying me maintenance and I got the car
    (a thoughful pause) but there is something wrong with the car

    I have nothing against discipline except when it's actually abuse like beating the shite out of a child. But I don't go along with the statistics used to go against single mothers.

    Single parents (men and women) make up over 20% of families and then there's gays make up so much and lesbians, bisexuals, transgender and so forth make up so much percent and heterosexuals make up so much.

    The families that have produced criminals are generally criminals themselves with violence around them. It shouldn't be a surprise to anyone the parents break up because of the violence and the children are in between parents. I see it all the time and there's little hope for many of these children. It has nothing to do with sole parenting as women doing it alone. Most women as single parents do a fantastic job at raising their children. Some are even able to break the chain so their children don't end up like their fathers.

    Yet in saying this, single fathers do a great job too and many are able to break a chain their exes created.
