I also do not like being treated like a woman simply because I am one either, something alot of people have tried to do for me, when they only get annoyingly overprotective and drive me up a wall.

I think you mean being treated like a "Lady" lots of women imagine they are ladies, while they don't really act like one. They want a man to pay everything during a date, hold the door open for her, but she doesn't play her role and can take advantage of the (unnecessary) generosity etc. The time of chivalry is over. This doesn't belong in a true equality society.
