Thank you everybody. (This is a much warmer welcome, than people receive on forums invaded by feminists... You post something, anything in a normal manner, 1st reply is: ARE YOU A ---- TROLL? Just because you are new, and you did not even post anything argumentative, just said somethig. The good old pickin' on the new kid thingie - elementary school hierarchy? Or... just looks like some people's conscience is much clearer than others' and they have no reason not to assume the new one's genuine and is happy to be with them. : ) )

Re: Just saying hi
I think folks blame feminists for far too much.. Since much of what feminists seem to be about benefits men in many ways (it would have to, or most men would not approve of it wholeheartedly surely?)..
Folks need to ask themselves this simply question:-
If the "feminists" did not have state backing to do their dirty work (Which is in fact the state's dirty work really anyway), could they not be safely ignored/beaten to death with their own shoes etc?..I started out an optimist, but nothing turned out right..
Then I became a pessimist, but thats a life of shite..
I sucked at being a realist, 'cos folks will always fight..
So now I'm saying "fuck this shit!" I'd rather sleep at night!!

Re: Just saying hi
Welcome, Rosequartz.
How refreshing to find a woman who has come through all the propaganda and the attempts at brainwashing, and yet has still been able to make up her own mind, recognise and dismiss the pack of lies and hypocrisies that have been fed to us constantly by the state, the media and the big corporates. How refreshing to know that the lies have not been able to have the effect they were intended to have.
That quite a few men can see through them should not be a surprise; we are on the sharp, bitter and poisonous end of them, so we should be able to understand how dangerous they are. We can feel the damage. But women are supposed to gain from them, so it is all the more surprising to find a woman who has simply said no. You are a rare creature. Keep posting.Civilisation: man's greatest, and most unappreciated, gift to women

Welcome Rosequartz,
You are in Singapore. Do educate us on misandry there and feminism. Is it as deeply entrenched there as well? Always wanting perspective from other places it is very valued here.
Do post often!Do not ever suppose that a small group of people can never change the world. INDEED it is the only thing that ever has.

Re: Just saying hi
You are welcome to disagree, but let me point a few things out..
First of all, the very use of the word "sexist" indicates to me and perhaps most other folks who usually see this word used against men that you are heavily influenced by the idiotology of feminism and perhaps are seeking to use the same terms as the feminists in some sort of "counter attack"..
This I believe to be a common losing strategy that many MRA's take, it is a losing strategy and will always be so as it is like riding to a battle using the same weaponry as by the enemy..
One may as well settle arguments with feminists by a men versus women breast feeding competition if one is going to do that..
I can also show, very easily, how feminism benefits men in a wide variety of ways, and also, just as easily, show how incredibly selfish most men are.. It would be very hard to refute the many examples I and many others could give..
My remark was mainly a tongue in cheek remark made more to stimulate debate on this than something I truly believe.. However it has long been noted by myself that many men take advantage of many "feminist inspired" concepts and ideas and do very little, if anything, to counter the onslaught of misandry in society which is a natural by-product of "empowering" women..
I also have long believed that the main victims of the feminist idiotology are women, not men..
Much of what I think is of course due to my chosen perspective regards these matters and anyone can choose to see things from a variety of viewpoints..
It is easy to slag off feminism as the cause of all the woes of men, and indeed many mra's do this and even normal men often see the links between, for example, feminist inspired shite and the fact that they are accused of stuff they havent done, such as "oppressing women" for example..
Women too often speak out against feminism, usually to curry favour with men prior to trying to convert them into accepting... Feminist inspired ideas..
Do I have a low opinion of my brethren? Depends who you call my brethren.. But suffice it to say I am not overly impressed by the way that men allow themselves to be subject to misandry in so many ways.. If they choose to accept shit that they don't need to, then I would say I have little sympathy for them when it comes to bite them on the arse.. If they position themselves under the femanus as they so often seem eager to do, then if they can't dodge the waste products, it will make their eyes water for sure and in many cases "serves them right for expecting women to act like something they are not naturally equipped for"..
Well, I have a brother, and I love that gent, but I despair for the way, like most young men I see these days, he seems to bend over and proffer his naked anus to some woman in order that she can control his every living moment..
There is no need for men to accept that they must be controlled by whatever woman is in their lives to such an extent that they are effectively simply lifestyle support systems for a consumptive haddock..
Some blokes I know seem to spend much of their waking hours, and probably dream time too, paying homage to "she who must be obeyed"..
Self emasculation is a sad thing to see happen, but it seems many men want to believe in whatever "feminism" is offerring them, after all, it is said, most people have a "pyschological need to be dominated" and this is easy for any man who thinks he can get through life by just conjoining himself in the familiar tongue to anus, housepet on a short leash style that "empowered" women like to keep their poodles in..
If you do not wish to see the many "benefits" the feminist idiotology offers the lazy, low talented or otherwise "would prefer someone else take responsibility for the manly shit I should be doing" male then I can only think it is an example of a common choice made by many "anti-feminists"..I started out an optimist, but nothing turned out right..
Then I became a pessimist, but thats a life of shite..

Re: Just saying hi
Rohara, I am married to a Singaporean, I am a Westerner otherwise. We spend part of the year there, part in Europe and part in Canada/US. As for feminism in Singapore, I surprisedly and horrifiedly read about the Walk of Sluts or Slutpride or whatever HERE, on this very site and I have never heard about it or bumped into it ever. As I read this event was supposed to be how everyone has the right to dress up sluttishly or act sluttishly I don't know but it's all about getting people pissed, IMHO, attention whoring, boredom, other juvenile and immature reasons.
1st of all, Singapore was founded by British, Chinese, Indian and Malay people, before 1964 it was one country with Malaysia, was called Malaya. Most of the Southeast Asian sea commerce took place here. Point is, vast majority of the people are Chinese, Indian, Malay, there are a lot of live in maids from the Philippines, construction workers from India and Sri Lanka (last 2 ones are the ones who live here by themselves and come without their family) and a lot of Westerners, Korean and Japanese people who work here. They come with their families. The moms are usually SAH moms, the kids go to international schools (which is awesome and quite lucky).
As Singapore is well known of it's barely existing racism - founded by people of so many nations, hey, and they pretty successfully co-exist! - you can also barely find even traces of any other negative -isms. Most of the times I see full families or singles working real hard to make ends meet, I personally have only met one woman who called herself a feminist. Happened to be a Westerner (won't mention nationalities), 34, single and hated men so blatantly that I guess none of them had the will and courage to approach her. She only stayed a few years anyway, but that was my only experience. I have Malay, Chinese, Indian friends who never ever expressed any hatred towards men in general, ever. In fact, most of the times it's the usual ebil patriarkhal stuff: they let the man take charge, while quite obviously they pull the strings in the background. : )
I would like to tell you about TV or media too but I never (literally never) watch any tv whatsoever, and in the newspapers you mostly find ads with women involved where they deal with beauty, running a household - no, not in a patronizing way, noez... I can't think of anything else. They EQUALLY mention men when it comes to health, fitness, wellness (esp. hair and skin), food, any other goodies. I haven't seen any ads where they portrayed men as non-caring, unhealthy or dumb folks. I don't think it's different on TV. Actually, ads encourage men to be gentlemen, be generous and polite. Some feminists (some?! who am I kidding) will never experience this, but most men are natural gentlemen and they love to cherish their partner.
BTW, SG is a very strict country. While they have many national holidays and allow a day off for every major religious Christian, Muslim and Hindu etc holidays to show respect towards people with diff religious backgrounds - pretty cool to see others celebrate, participate in it and try the foods! - hate marches are not supposed to be allowed.
I will have to look deeper into this slut march or whatever it's called, maybe it's not what I imagine it to be but to be honest, I was blissfully ignorant not knowing about it. If it looks as bad as it sounds, I cannot imagine how can they allow it in this country where you are not allowed to chew gums - never miss it, esp not stepping into gums or seeing them spat out - or walk around with a hood on your head.
(BTW... if this slut march is about showing how you can dress in whatever ways you want... lol... SG is near the Equator. Girls walk around in short shorts and little skirts all the time, it barely raises any attention it's so usual. Just like high heels, hair extensions, nail extentions etc. So I'll have to look deeper before I said anything, I cannot imagine what the whole thing is about so far.)
And as for misandry, no. It's so rare, so incredibly rare that I've seen one openly misandrist person in so many years so far. Thankfully she left. (People of Guam, where she is residing right now, my thoughts are with you.)

Re: Just saying hi
Hey you are welcome! If there are any other questions about the country or anything, you are more than welcome to ask!
BTW, most people are pretty happy with their relitionships, family, "roles" and the partner THEY CHOOSE, etc. The basic message of the advertisments are: treat each others right. Treat your fellow passengers right, your workers right, your children and parents right, your partner right. Singapore greatly demands respect towards everybody. Regardless of social status, age, gender, anything! And part of respect is not spewing hateful stuff on men, just because vast majority are gentlemen enough not to hit back.
(The other thing I never understood was how bad relationships turned some women into radical feminists. They truly believe in sexual freedom and choosing the partner on their own, which is what mot people do. So they chose a few fellas they did not get along with. It wasn't their church, their daddy to arrange those marriages for them, so who's to blame?! Not everyone gets along w each otherlet alone matching up... Very very few people match up enough to stick out good and lasting marriages. Honey... where was your ohsosharp brain when you took everything into consideration and started dating with him? And moved in with him? And accepted the ring? And got married? And had the first kid? And had the second kid? .... I could go on and on. I am amazed by how some women complain about having had a marriage with an "A-hole" for 10 years AND HAD KIDS. What? And complain about what they endured, what they'd been through. Really? They marry someone they had a dodgy relationship with, HAVE KIDS, stay for a decade and then go hating and crying? I'll never be old enough to understand. Or smart enough. Or stupid enough... )

Re: Just saying hi
Not pertinent in the context you're using it, so it's moot point.
Say I attack you with a machine gun while your preferred weapon is a pea-shooter - would it not pay you to go buy a gun of your own so you can take on the fight with a more balanced weight? Sure, you may say "we're on same side so no need for a gun against me" which is true, but you're the one complaining and making attacks against men, not me.
We should be fighting alongside one another here against our common enemy, not seeing who can piss the furthest (oh no! Another feminist argument!) But what it really boils down to is that you made an attack on men's motives and spoke of men in an overly-generalized manner, claiming men mostly support feminist values - which in my experience, is wrong.
I didn't invent the machine gun, I'm just using it... Feminists didn't invent the word sexism, they just over use it & bleed the poor sod dry to the bone.
No, that doesn't work.. again, context is important here and you're blowing the context out of the water to make an invalid point.
Oh, I have no doubts that you and I could sit here all night showing wonderful & colourful examples to reinforce both our arguments. But again, it's just a pissing contest that isn't necessary. Most men are good folk - most women are good folk. Some men & women are bad.
I'd say most men & women alike are ignorant to misandry. Men of today were brought up on misandry, it's as natural as the air they breathe.
Not sure we agree.. women have gained impressive privileges due to feminism, such as 'rights without responsibilities' and the 'right' to stop a father & child having a relationship. No group has tried to gain similar or comparable rights for men to oppress women with.
Aye.
Can you elaborate a little?
Again though, most men are simply uneducated about women & the abuses of the law they often use to gain the upper hand. We're in a world where many of us have brought up by women (single mothers, school's predominantly female taught, etc.) so we only hear one side of a two-sided story, a story where she is an eternal victim and he is an innate abuser and rapist.
OK, but from what you tell share publicly in the past, you're in no position to judge?
Fully agree.
Aye.. but how is this feminism or supporting sexism against men to promote himself?
Ahh, you see, only now do you start to explain what you meant... you could do with elaborating further though if you intend to convince people that most men are selfish brutes who support feminism.►My blog / Your Blog
