    To Douglas;

Well, since I'm not a part of any notable group of feminists or any other 'ists' for that matter, I guess you could say that I don't subscribe to any set notion put out by any of those groups. I'm just me. Believing that everyone deserves equality.

And if I were concentrating on only one gender or whatever, I would specifically say so. I'm not one who beats around the bush. I might concentrate on one issue at a time with my blog, but that would be because I believe every issue deserves it's own post. and each issue deserves to be researched properly before I can go on to the next point.

So, if you really feel the need to "Label" me, label me as an activist. Or an advocate. just that, nothing more. And I could care less about being labeled a social parasite or pariah. Guess what? No matter what issue I tackle, that's going to happen.

We seem to be of like mind. Labels are useful for quick communication but they can get in the way of the message being delivered.

But then, what you mentioned was incomplete, only half a descriptive. There has to be a prefix to "activist" and "advocate" (such as feminist, animal, free speech, conservation etc), otherwise there is no meaningful context. If so, what feminist issues can you mention that are worthy of serious discussion within a modern western sphere of reasoning?

    Hi all,

I learned about this site through a men's rights group on Twitter. I'm an equal rights activist/advocate (for everyone, not just for one gender, age, etc.). I had asked them if they knew of anyone who might be willing to give me their point of view on what's happened to their rights..especially over the last couple of years leading up to the current election..How they've been affected, what rights have been taken away, how the government is working towards either helping them retain their rights or if they're being withheld, etc.. I have a blog article I'm researching now and would love to have the opportunity to get some stories? If not, I completely understand...but I hope I can get a little bit of information..I do believe that men have been overlooked in regards to certain rights, and getting the word out is important. Yes, I also fight for women's and children's rights, but I believe that everyone deserves equality. I don't know if I'm allowed to post the email I use when I'm doing research on here?

I hope to hear from some of you soon,

    With the utmost respect,

    Krystina.
    Hi there, Krystina.

Sorry that I am jumping in a bit late...I have a new job description at work, and more hours means less time for talking. I read your posts, and we are a lot alike, you and me. We are both women who see inequal treatment and want to do something about it...even when others deny it exists. I do not have any children, but I do have male siblings and all my friends are male. The problems they face are the same as ours, but made worse due to idiotic laws that impede rather than help.

Might I also suggest you cover the media in your blog posts? Stereotypes of men in most shows have now basically fallen into 2 categories; the bumbling, unintelligent husband OR the loud/obnoxious, violent man. (The only show I'll even watch now is Big Bang Theory...it reminds me of my customers, lol). To see such characters as the only "rolemodels" must be very limiting for our Brothers.

Even worse than that is when male pain and suffering is shown as humorous, as in the case of The View/The Talk hostesses laughing about a man whose angry wife cut of his penis then threw it in the garbage disposal. Quite worse than being raped...I'd liken it more to a woman whose been forced into a complete removal of her labia and clit. Of course, no one would dare laugh about THAT, but a man now being forced to live without his penis is so damn funny, don't cha know?

It's still on youtube, along with their "apology" episode. If you have a strong stomach go ahead and watch it, then tell me why more men are finding it safer to go their own way.

Make of it what you will, but I've also found the Big Bang Theory a sanctuary from the mindless 'white noise' pumped into the airwaves. But I'm certainly not what you describe as a geek by any means. There's lots of sarcasm and cutting wit, but I haven't noted any male-bashing worth mentioning. Yep, a good show.

Come for the humor, stay for the inevitable education, I say.

Not only does it NOT bash males or females unnecessarily, but it also pokes fun at both geek culture AND those outside of it in a nonoffensive way. I will fully admit to being a geek/gamer, but my IQ is only 120 last time I was tested...not genius level at all. Thus, I love that I can have a fun and relaxing time watching a show full of nerdy references I actually GET, and afterwards google some of the terms/machinery mentioned. Such a wonderful mesh of intelligence and wit!

Douglas, I completely agree with you. And they can definitely get in the way of trying to get a message delivered.

I've pretty much got this week's article done... I'll share the link as soon as I complete it this evening...It the next one after that where I really do need help..It's in regards to family, marriage, divorce, parental rights and laws...I've got a couple of sources for the legal information, but I really want people to understand what someone goes through in situations like that.

I don't know if anyone's interested in sharing their story with me? - with full discretion, and anonymity, of course..

With all due respect, I don't really feel the need to add a prefix to that. But that, again, is just my own personal reasoning. Like I mentioned before, I really don't want to be labeled as anything. I'm just me. Trying to get information and write about issues.

Hi, no worries about jumping in late!

I covered a bit about the media in my last blog post, but only a little bit. I'll be going into more detail as the series comes along, for sure. I have to admit, I don't watch the view, so I didn't know about that particular one..I've got a strong stomach, but I don't know if I'd be able to watch it without wanting to smash my tv. Luckily, for the time being, any time the tv does go on, it's relegated to Treehouse or Disney, since my little guy has special shows he likes to watch sometimes.

I would absolutely appreciate any and all advice you or anyone else might have on this, for sure...

Fair enough, I've enough stones in my life where I'm attempting to extract blood from, without adding another.

    Re: Input needed :)

Welcome aboard and I hope you stay current with some of these discussions.

I have found a lot of links and ideas about other resources and information by touring this site, as well as being a part of many good discussions right here. If you do the same at any length you will find that many folks have a wide gamut of grievances that they have already enunciated well elsewhere on the site, and answering you directly here may not be the best way to point you in a direction toward what any of us is thinking.

Especially when a woman comes aboard here, a lot of the guys tend to get real polite and tone down the rhetoric on a girl's thread, or else go overboard and make sure you don't take anything they say seriously. It isn't quite a men's club, but girls make us a little nervous here, by all indications.

For myself, I'd prefer you look through my profile and links thoroughly and find out for yourself what I have to say. I tend to concentrate mostly on media watchdogging (if they are going to denounce men I'm at least gonna expose the propaganda tricks behind it) and on the issue of parental abduction as an unprosecuted crime and a routine entry into sole custody for mothers. I have other issues but these are my emphases.

    Good hunting, sister.

But why should it be? Are we not all human?

Didn't we see the horror that unfolded at the Haiti disaster in 2010, and how men and boys were treated like subhuman creatures following that concept of divide?

It's not only a family destroying mechanism employed by white middle-classed feminists, ensconced in humanitarian organisations, far removed from third-world reality, but an opportunity to permanently entrench ideology through western aid which has financial stipulations linked to how third-world men behave, or rather submit.

Feminism in third-world countries is just the latest form of (perverse) colonialism.
Sorry CD, I don't see feminism as family destroying.

Hmmm. what is family? Is it a constitution that had the right to put one of it's members into a mental institution when that member upset another member? Yes, that happened allot and that is how society looked good on the outside. I am sorry to say but it wasn't feminism that stopped families from looking perfect. We need to give credit to those who made families real, imo.

I'm disappointed, you said that despite how good men here have eloquently laid out the bountiful empirical facts, over many years, to prove this beyond any reasonable doubt. How feminism, as a subset of Marxism, is an ideology designed to destroy the traditional family and wreak social devastation.

In future you will only muster a metaphorical pat on the head given your universal gullibility, and a groundhog day will play an important part of the diminished life which will forge your confused future......
