Hi Teri, yes I know you from an American's men's site and facebook. Gosh, what a lovely introduction. I am not sure what I am about and I am finding MRAs in my area are unsure too as we have got men and women together. At the moment I am anti child services and I see much of this to be false allegations between men and women (both as bad) in separation. I challenge government about new ideas and I back my activist friends and I work with single parents and shared parenting..... many times I have to bite my tongue.

It is really nice to have you here because I think you can add some direction...... I have received good marks on my studies but I just feel we are in first-mover territory. I think I want to be more real now that you are here.

I am one who knows you, and I can tell those that do not that you are one of the most persistent and effective 'Activist' MRAs around. I would put you in the top ten worldwide.

It honours us that you come here.

I know that to you Equality means just that. No less.

I hope you will not just manage to put up with the occasional outbursts of error here when people mistake feminists for women, but that you can bring some fence-mending skills and wisdom. By the Lord Harry, it is needed here.

Hello Teri and welcome. Your intro certainly makes me want to hear more from you. And I agree bad DV laws are a huge hurddle to shared parenting. But I also think the sexist DV laws we have now also do nothing to end DV and in many ways I think current DV laws actually work against ending DV for both men and women.

I used to read and enjoy your columns all the time over at the MensNewsDaily website when it was being run by Mike LaSalle (the site format and content has changed since then). If I recall correctly, there was sort of a "trifecta" with you, Lisa Scott and Denise Noe. I haven't been a member of the AM site for very long, but when I introduced myself, I mentioned you as one of my MRA "heroines".

I look forward to your further contributions to this site and to the MR cause in general.

I can honestly say to everyone here that Teri is a tried and true MRA. I have worked with her shoulder to shoulder on Capitol Hill and she has a real passion for the cause of Domestic Violence reform. I can say with confidence that she has done more for the cause than the great preponderance of members here by far. She will be an excellent addition to our membership and will, no doubt, be a key person in encouraging activism and leadership.
