I Think I Changed My Mom's Mind
Hi there. I recently came across a YouTube girl called Christy0Misty and watched her videos on the problems with feminism http://www.youtube.com/user/christy0misty
It has finally lead me here!
The other day there was this news article on TV about women not achieving to their potential, or something like that, and I spontaneously started saying the following to my mom (who is 58. Can't remember exactly what I said, and what I said was probably better), and now it appears that she is fighting a lot less with my dad. Before they would argue about every little thing. I'm not sure what it was about what I said that worked for her. Maybe being a woman of her age and experience, she has an understanding of certain words that I used.
What good is more feminism?
All you get is more problems, like a man has
Nowadays, you are forced to have a fulltime job, or you're a loser. Like a man
You HAVE to be successful, or you're a loser. Like a man
You can't really be a stay at home mom, or you're lazy. Because being a stay at home mom has a lazy connotation to it
For a woman to respect a man (for us men, that means sexually desired), he has to be better than her/make more money than her/be the leader
But women want to be equals. They want to be like a man
Men and women are equal in ability. But a man merely being equal isn't impressive
The only difference is that men are physically stronger. But that hardly means anything now
With today's non-physical careers, an ordinary man's job gets little to no respect
It's no wonder the divorce rate is so high, and that women initiate 65% of divorces (and women don't want sex, and have difficulty having orgasms)
A relationship nowadays is like two equal forces fighting each other
Women these days act like men as well
To get their way, they do it the man way
It doesn't inspire men to naturally act like men around women
CONSCIOUSLY trying to act like a man feels fake, and women know it
It's no wonder women complain that there are no decent men around
Women have become men

We need to get past identity politics. They are harmful and disasterous. What good is more feminism?
My husband is a stay at home hubby. All you get is more problems, like a man has
Nowadays, you are forced to have a fulltime job, or you're a loser. Like a man
You HAVE to be successful, or you're a loser. Like a man
You can't really be a stay at home mom, or you're lazy. Because being a stay at home mom has a lazy connotation to it
He's not a loser, no matter what others think of him.
My husband is better than me in some things, and I am better than him in others. I have an education that he doesn't have, and I bring the bacon home. I just think most women are selfish. For a woman to respect a man (for us men, that means sexually desired), he has to be better than her/make more money than her/be the leader
I want to be ME.But women want to be equals. They want to be like a man
There's some other differences, like our brain structures are different and I produce milk for instance(though I think I read somewhere that men have the potential for it too). The only difference is that men are physically stronger. But that hardly means anything now
With today's non-physical careers, an ordinary man's job gets little to no respect
Again, I think it's selfishness. Also, I chalenge your claim that women don't want sex. >.>It's no wonder the divorce rate is so high, and that women initiate 65% of divorces (and women don't want sex, and have difficulty having orgasms)
I'm inclined to agree.A relationship nowadays is like two equal forces fighting each other
I act like me, just as my husband acts like himself.
Women these days act like men as well
To get their way, they do it the man way
It doesn't inspire men to naturally act like men around women
CONSCIOUSLY trying to act like a man feels fake, and women know it
Women have become selfish. It's no wonder women complain that there are no decent men around
Women have become men

Re: I Think I Changed My Mom's Mind
I was talking about the creation of value in the workplace.
About the sex. Not that they don't want it. I was talking about men not being as attractive anymore. A generalizing though. Just as a statistic is a generalization.
Most everyone acts like themselves. I was talking about when a man tries to woo a woman.
Wanting equality is selfish?

Oh. Sorry.I was talking about the creation of value in the workplace.
Fair points. Not that they don't want it. I was talking about men not being as attractive anymore. A generalizing though. Just as a statistic is a generalization.
This is a weird complicated issue for me. So, I'll leave this be...Most everyone acts like themselves. I was talking about when a man tries to woo a woman.
No. I was talking about the attitude that many modern women have. The entitled princess that must have everything.Wanting equality is selfish? The Bible is bullshit, the Koran is a lie

Re: I Think I Changed My Mom's Mind
Thanks for your welcomes

Admittedly, I used emotive words rather than words that would have spelt it out in a completely logical way.
For example, for 'act like men as well', you could say, 'act dominant as well', but that may not have had the same effect with my mom. Maybe she would have said, 'huh?' instead and not quite caught onto the message.

As Tonto said to the Lone Ranger, "What you mean 'WE', white eyes?"We need to get past identity politics. They are harmful and disasterous.
Tell that to Feminists.
'WE' cannot get past it as it is thrust in our faces wherever we turn.
Cum dilectione hominum et odio vitiorum
Love the Sinner but not the Sin.
(St. Augustine)
“ For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers,
against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. “
(and within ourselves)
(Ephesians 6:12 (KJV)
A Feminist is a human being who has lost her way and turned vicious.
If you meet one on the road as you Go your Own Way,
offer kindness but keep your sword drawn.
