Hello From Wonderland

Hi people. I am a woman who intensely disagrees with feminism nowadays . . . even though I have no business reading any more message boards (I got work to do!) I felt compelled to join this one because finally I see people (including women!) who understand and agree with me!

Sure I'm thankful I can vote, but I believe:

1. All sex is not rape
2. Men deserve family rights (and rights to NOT have families) just the same as women
3. Men and women can share equality, but they can never be THE SAME
4. Violence is a human issue, not a women's issue

Once in a blue moon a conversation with other women (whether in life or online) will teeter into feminist territory, and I always, ALWAYS become the odd one out. It sucks that so many women are indoctrinated in this "I am victim, hear me roar, and by the way men are EVIL"-mindset. By the way, if I hear once more how women have been oppressed since the beginning of time, I will vomit. Then, when I state my views to these women, they react as if I just grew horns and a tail. Either that, or they pity poor, ignorant, brainwashed me.

I suspect feminists today do not even know what they REALLY want themselves. They just want to rant and rave, while they go about canvassing for new and better perks for their lives. While I am certainly no stranger to ranting and raving, I certainly don't blame my woes on MEN.

Thanks for letting me vent.

As long as being a victim remains so beneficial, and ensures a degree of immunity from responsibility - then expect a continuance of eager subscribers. Men are evil mindset? Hey, every designated victim group has to have a bogeyman and scapegoat. It also precludes women from having to engage in moral introspection and thus embrace accountability.

By the way, if I hear once more how women have been oppressed since the beginning of time, I will vomit.

Sadly, many men also 'obligingly' repeat the same tiresome MYTH.

If you have read quite a bit of this site you will see that many people here are quite skeptical of women showing non-feminist thought, let alone anti-feminist. You might cop some flak, but we are willing to hear different perspectives.

We are anti-misandry plus.

Really? As in maybe I am actually a feminist practicing subterfuge? Or just that maybe I am not as anti-misandry as I think (maybe I am just trying to impress 'the menfolk')? Hopefully my future posts will prove I tend to agree with the general anti-misandry thinking here.

Hi julie. I was actually reading that thread last night and thinking about it . . . I'll give it a go.

By the way, my screen name is 1. a play on my real name; 2. taken from one of my favorite childhood books ("Alice in . . ."); and 3. a reflection of my idealism (which unfortunately can sometimes look like naivete). But take from it what you want!
