    Hello everyone.

I just wanted to introduce myself here and see where this goes. I've been involved in men's issues in one way or another for about fifteen years. Originally, I was a counselor who watched feminists come in and ruin treatment programs by identifying masculinity as a psychopathology. That is where it started for me as I started reading Warren Farrell around the same time.

Now I am developing a website of essays on relationships between men and women that will be up in the next few weeks (no, this is not friggin' spam).

Would like to participate here and maybe get some feedback on my essays for those willing.

Anyway, hopefully that will do for a start.

P.S. Whoever started this site, kudos to you for the badly needed stance.

Welcome Lester. Burnham Wood is on the move is it? That bodes disaster for someone who has evil in their heart according to the three old crones.

I'd be happy to read your essays. Let us know when the site is up.

Welcome, Lester. It was Marx started this forum, and he who keeps it going, sometimes with nothing but chewing gum and baling wire (which, incidentally, is pretty much how my grandfather kept his Ford engines going).

I'd be interested and happy to read your essays.

Greetings, welcome aboard the AM train... dunno quite where we're heading yet, but it's away from gynoville and femalesupremacyland (I couldn't be blessed with thinking of a cool way to shorten it).
Feel welcome to add content you think may be relevant to the links directory, and articles are always welcomed in the... aptly named articles section.

The most offensive thing you can do to a feminist is treat her with FULL equality.
Wife : "I dreamt they were auctioning off dicks. The big ones went for ten dollars and the thick ones went for twenty dollars."
Husband : "How about the ones like mine?"
Wife : "Those they gave away."
Husband : "I had a dream too...I dreamt they were auctioning off pussy. The pretty ones went for a thousand dollars, and the little tight ones went for two thousand."
Wife : "And how much for the ones like mine?"
Husband : "That's where they held the auction."

Well thank you all for the prompt and kindly welcomes. Marx, I don't know where it's going either. I've been at this for a long time now and it still feels like trying to get a foothold on a frozen lake.

    Still, I am stubborn.

Will post an essay soon on Dr. Phil. I am sure he is a favorite here. Please feel free to criticize, I didn't come to sing to the choir.

    Re: Hello everyone.

I just wanted to thank you for offering your viewpoint on my introductory thread (the "don't hate me because I'm a woman" thread)- you're right about what you said there. Looking back I see that introducing myself in the way that I did created a self-fulfilling prophecy with some of the members here, and I have myself to blame for that. I've got a lot yet left to learn about psychology and about this site, and about men and men's concerns. I'm looking very much forward to reading your future posts. I just took my first course in social psych this quarter and I have gained a bit of insight into the subject, but only scratched the surface, I'm sure. I see now how I set myself up for negative reactions right from the beginning. I've been a member now for about three months, and I'd have to say that people here have taught me much...as much or more than I have learned from any text book.

    Again, welcome to the forum!

    Hi Tera,

Immediately after my post to your thread I got a PM from another member rushing to your defense. I see now that he was correct in doing so, and I am glad to see that "the field" might get colleague that will do more good than harm.

The men here will teach you much indeed, as I also expect that you have lessons to offer as well. I hope you did not take too much offense from what I said. Thank you for your kind welcome and I wish you the best in your future professional ambitions.

I took no offense whatsoever from your post. In fact, I think you were right with what you said.

I was hoping never to have to see that thread again, but I'm glad it's come back up. I need face what has been written there. It's a good lesson. A needed one.

    Thanks
