I thought I'd post a copy of the 'introduction' thingy from registration. Feel free to comment.

I've been lurking around for a while and becoming more and more infuriated with today's society. Not only do I fall into the most 'unpopular' group in the world - that of a white, english-speaking male - I'm surrounded by people who happily swallow feminist propaganda without bothering to look closer. One in particular has been described by her closest family as a 'rabid' feminist. This may be a little over the top, but occasionally she will get on her high-horse about some percieved injustice.

I can't help but wonder if it's all going to get steadily worse, or if there is some light at the end of the tunnel that isn't an express train.

Now, don't get me wrong, women can be the most wonderful people to be around. I myself have a very good friend, who just happens to be female. Needless to say, she doesn't share the common opinion and is just as miffed about the continuing theme of misandry in society.

However, the problem, as I'm sure you're all well aware, is that far too often the state and the media lean heavily towards favouring 'the fairer sex'. I've gradually come to realise that it's only by forming large and diverse groups with the same mindset that we're going to get anything done. Sooner or later we'll make a noise too big to drown out.

I'll belt up now, as I'm sure I've waffled on long enough.

I'm sure it will get worse, unfortunately. However, I do live in hope that there will eventually be a point of 'critical mess' when things get so egregious that it can no longer be denied.

There's always hope, as it's the one thing that we've not figured out how to kill yet.

I noticed in your profile you participate in historical battle reenactments (looks great fun), so you'll appreciate how an opposing force must face his foe as a united and organized formation if any chance of victory is ever to realized. The fight we face is no different.

History also shows us that ego, infighting, personal agendas and petty squabbling can be as destructive as the most formidable of enemies. The mens movement needs selfless team players if it's ever to succeed.

So, we'll be glad to have another sword joining our cause. Horses aren't provided though.

Welcome i am also a member of regia and the vik,but i do most of fighting in eastern europe with the Poles and the Russian's,they go in harder, but they can use the shield a little more,and matter's little if you stick someone on their arse, even though they have the same or similar hit area's,i got a little pissed with Regia and Vik,plus i found them a bit freaky,there is a difference between those who want to fight and have fun,and those whom truly believe they are related to Godwinson.

I watched a video last night titled "Start Up .Com" - a work of fiction about the first wave of the internet start up / venture capital companies that was actually truer than anything the old media has printed. For those who remember the 'dot.com bubble' and bust - it is a trip down memory lane.

It dealt with many of the issues you raise in a truly insightful and ruefully humorous way - Cynical enough to please even me.

As you know - there are certain 'Deal Breaker' issues for MRAs that I am regularly trashed for raising, and yet the notion of team players necessarily implies we know the goals of the team - in more specific terms than 'hoorray for our side'...

Sooo... I will keep posting about what I think 'Our Side' really ought to stand for, and we shall see whether a 'team' can be formed without that full debate taking place.
