Affianced Woman Breaking the Cycle: Hello
Good evening all! (Or whatever time it may be where you are) I found this site and, after reading some of the posts, became instantly drawn to the message and purpose of this site. As the daughter of a sociopath mother who tormented and bled-dry every man she could convince to marry her; I watched the courts constantly deem her fit, give her money, and accept her lies simply because she was blessed with a womb.
At a young age I was raised to think this kind of behavior was acceptable. That men are enemies, or suckers, to be used for emotional or material salve. I realized, with age, that this attitude is HORRIBLY wrong and has led to many of her downfalls in life.
Now, at 26, I'm looking to speak with like minded men, and women, who recognize the hypocricies and tragedies lobbed against men by our society. An era too extreme in it's reactions to see that women are JUST AS CAPABLE of dangerous to children, spouses, and family as men. When I think of the pain I put my own father through, buying into her lies and rhetoric, I feel ashamed. But this is a new day, with new information at my disposal.
Thank you for having me and I hope to learn more from you all in time.

Do not ever suppose that a small group of people can never change the world. INDEED it is the only thing that ever has.

Hello, Nikki, and welcome to a different view of the world.
Was there something that brought about a revelation or was it many small things that helped you to see things differently? I ask because I like to know HOW to change people's attitudes and what might get people with anti-men beliefs to gain a healthy perspective.____________________________________________

Re: Affianced Woman Breaking the Cycle: Hello
I'll start with saying that I have never changed my mother's point of view on anything. Sociopaths are not very good at seeing things from another's perspective primarily because of the intense narcissism that mars their reasoning skills. That said, I think it was my actual interaction with men and viewing my mother's downfalls that made me realize just how skewed the system can be.
I've known some amazing men in my life, my father included, whom have had to deal with toxic BS because society is too wrapped up in Victorian attitudes towards the "purity" and "fragility" of women to realize that many are just as capable of destruction as any man.

Welcome Niki. It always does my heart good to see another person especially a woman turn from feminism and it's destructive nature.
I am glad that you were able to break the cycle that sadly far too many women are stuck in.
A lot of potentially wonderful people are stuck in a mire created by telling women they are perpetually perfect and all of their troubles are caused by men.Chevalier.
