Yes indeed campers, A Great Big Gone AWOL Welcome to all you Lurkers (aw, what the heck, peepers too) out there in the trans-cyberian wastes of internet land!

I am OHSO – and I have been around the internet for a very long time now. How long you may well ask? Why, certainly not before ole Horatio Algore invented the thing of course; but long enough to have been fool enough to sign on with AWOL (Amerikan Womyn On Line / AOL) after the demise of Steve Jobs short lived e-world adventure in the mid 1990s.

Of course we were all rather limited in our options back then, myself having a system with all of 8 megs of ram and a teleport bronze phone modem to rule the internet… Ahem.

Anywayyyyyy… I was one of the originators of the very first Men’s Issues board, aptly titled “Men’s Equal Rights” at what we soon came to refer to as AWOL (American Womyn On Line), in recognition of the Endemic Misandry that pervaded that warped little hothouse of Radical Gender Feminist Propaganda and Misandrist Bias.

The sordid Herstory of Misandry at AWOL is one only painfully recounted by the truly stout of heart, and no doubt needs a chapter in a book (aha – do I smell an advance) to truly do it justice; although author Warren Farrell did discuss the incredible Censorship Scam in his appropriately named book “Women Can’t Hear What Men Don’t Say”.

In the Beginning (at AOL) - there were designated interest sections with open message posting boards for both Women’s and Men’s issues. As was predictable, the ‘Womyn’s’ interest sections at AWOL soon became controlled by Radical Feminists (the Cheney Turkey Baster Dyke is a Power broker at AWOL), and both Non Misandrist Men and Women were excluded

However, on the Men’s Board - instead of sticking to sports, beer and bikinis (as the marketers wanted) many of the posts greatly angered radical gender feminist activists, quoting as they did banned authors like (Christina Hoff Sommers – Who Stole Feminism, War Against Boys; Daphne Patai – Heterophobia, Professing Feminism; Warren Farrell – Myth of Male Power…), and otherwise expressing blatantly Ungood Ideas which did not conform to their mandatory political dogma of Misandry or Ms.Andry - the Hatred of Men and Masculinity & Normal Heterosexuality.

Eventually the Men’s Boards at AWOL attracted a certain type of National Socialist Feminist - who eventually became quasi cyber immortalized as the “Resident Harpies” of AWOL. They bombarded the Men’s boards with trash snippet posts so as to bury all others, and simultaneously ran a TOS complaint campaign (an AWOL activist favorite) which eventually saw said Men’s boards completely eliminated – almost, kind of … Only Different.

Like a once pungent fart in a windstorm, the Men’s boards all faded away – except for the last one, the Men’s Equal Rights (MER) Board. Somehow, despite not having an address or keyword, or even being acknowledged to exist by AWOL – this board kept going for almost two years as sort of a cyber ghost in the machine. I never did figure out how it was done, whether it was some sort of insider who sympathized with freedom of speech; or simple incompetence by AWOL in losing a message board within the system.

It got so ridiculous towards the end, that AWOL was simultaneously denying the board’s very existence (including to those of us still posting on it – accessing via shared hyperlinks… I still have the messages) – and doing so despite the fact that at that time MER was the most actively posted board in the entire system…

Although admittedly nine out of ten posts were Harpy Dumpings. Said Resident Harpies also simultaneously sending a hail of shrieking complaints to AWOL (about a Board that Didn’t Officially Exist) because they were furious that the Men’s section wouldn’t lie down and die like it was supposed to. Ahhh – The Good Ole Days.

Finally – things came to a head, and it looked like the end of the line. Until yours truly contacted Author Warren Farrell, and told the story (with documentation) and he published it in his book Women Can’t Hear What Men Don’t Say (where you will also find me). Well, by golly gosh darn it gee wizzz… Dontcha just know soon after the publicity the folks at AWOL done went and give us a real nice new Men’s Boards to sell us stuff (like sports, beer and bikinis) on. At least until they shut that one down permanently too…

Of course the Womyn’s Boards, which never did shut down, evolved in to the interactive Womyn’s Network – and is still chugging along just full of opportunities for Ms.Andry. Interestingly enough, the ONLY Board for ‘men’ at AWOL to continue in existence, was that for linking up Homo-Anal Males… Despite the series of scandals about the Coprophile Chat rooms at AWOL serving as a nexus for STD Spread.

The ‘regular’ Men’s Boards at AWOL were never linked through the Keyword / ‘Lifestyles’ center to the rest of the system, and were mostly treated like an unwashed and slightly retarded younger cousin, who nobody would miss if they wandered off in to rattler country some hot afternoon and never came back.

Anywayyyyyy… It has been a long time getting back to here (I was away in law school – which is actually quite far in cyberspace), and it is true: Those Who Respect The Law and or Enjoy Sausage – Should Never Watch Either Being Made! Same is true of attorneys, for most of whom greater familiarity truly engenders naught save greater contempt.

As a Men’s Civil Rights Advocate for over four decades, I have had various careers destroyed, lost all my worldly goods, been stalked, hounded, harassed, lied about, subjected to vicious political vendettas (including secret Police Vendettas by the University of California for daring to criticize their Misandry - more later)…

…And of course received Threats of Extreme Violence By Faculty at McGeorge Law School (JD W/ Distinction 2003 – President of the Campus Men’s Caucus)– in service of an administration policy of Anti-Male / Pro-Homosex Harassment and Thought Policing... All in service of a ‘cause’ that isn’t even supposed to exist.

Indeed, the ‘Most Amoral Womyn’ in Idaho (sleazy suzzi Christensen, head of the Idaho Bar Moral Character committee) is on record as stating that: “Misandry is Not a Real Word that you can look up in Webster’s Dictionary” (and correspondingly, any Man who says otherwise is dishonest) – Despite the Fact that Misandry is Clearly Found in the Copy of Webster’s Located in the Lobby of the Idaho Bar Building she worked in…

But then Christensen (at the time going by Kay Manweiler) was going through an extremely bitter and angry divorce, and it is only understandable that such a despicable bigoted Liar as Susan Christensen would lash out as she did – not only literally spitting that Lie in my face but also trashing both Men and Religion in general, as part of her views as a Feminist Moral Guardian / Deputy Attorney General. Still, like they should say in the brochure - nothing ventured, nothing given a chance to kick you in the teeth…

Soooooo… I am currently fighting MISANDRY in as many different manners as I can think up – some of which admittedly work better than others, and most of which could use some help, as in all that I can get.

On a related note, I understand the anger of many of the Fathers caught up in custody battles – but that is Not My Field. I have observed the ‘Fathers Rights’ movement for some time now, and find it constantly re-invigorated by freshly screwed men (some even deservedly so– although certainly not all or even most) who are so angry at one individual or group in relation to their own case, that their view of the larger legal Forrest is usually limited – and prone towards arson as a simple ‘solution’ anyway… My concerns with Reproductive Rights are more focused towards the Turkey Baster Baby Boom and the Legal Elimination of Men as Fathers – In the Law…

Further – I also acknowledge a serious parting of the ways with the likes of Warren Farrell and others over Vitally Important Issues like the Fundamental Right of the BOY SCOUTS to be free from any form of Mandatory Pandering to the Sick Hatreds and Vile Perversions of the Coprophile Cult of Feces Focused Homo-Anal Perversions.

You had 8mb of ram in 1990? Think that must have been rather 1995/96. With a 14.4 kbps modem (or 9 maybe?). Anyway that's when I went online. Netscape 2.0. :-)

Hmm, maybe ... My machine (Amiga) had a whopping 2MB of RAM (could expand to 10MB) and the college's had 10MB and 16MB machines. So I think there was a pretty good range going for it's time. I recall taking a school day trip to the college, and seeing the 10MB machines, nearly wetting myself with excitement... then nearly soiling myself again at seeing the 16MB machines. If memory serves, they had something like 400MB hard drives.

'Wild Bill' Hayler; who upon my soggy self and several other salt challenged pollywogs did once pronounce the Three Basic Rules of Safe Boating, to wit:

BTW - It occurred to me that certain individuals, probably those unfortunates existing outside the benign celestial realm of the people's greater republik of Weimar Kalifornia in Hollyweird, might not understand certain slang terms as presented in the American Vernacular - such as one used in previous post.

Thus - as an act of kindness for the furriners amongst us: AWOL is also an American military term for Absent Without Official Leave...

Sometimes referred to as 'Free Leave', 'French Leave', 'Hot Foot Leave', 'Gone Dixie' and of course the ever popular - 'Bugging Out'.

It certainly sounds like you've been in the wars. Given you're experience, hopefully you can bring some interesting ideas to the forum.

As for AOL, when I was stupid enough to have been a subscriber back in 2004, I was a regular poster on the men's board. It was infested with varied strains of feminists (pop fems to rad fems) and a number of male feminist appeasers, with a lesser number of men 'genuinely' voicing mens concerns.

On some threads that I participated in, I counted up to 13 fems and supporters ganging up on me (good debating experience!). Even with overwhelming superiority of numbers, a number of posters conspired to make joint complaints against me. I got banned once, then I appealed successfully to have my AOL connection reinstated.

I didn't necessarily need the connection, but it was a matter of principle. Then, even though I abided by their draconian restrictions, I found myself banned again for the second and final time. During the whole time, I was civil, didn't revert to threats or profanity. They just grew tired of me routinely debunking their lies and disinformation, and opposing the misandry that was so very rife there.

It seems to be a similar pattern repeated everywhere whenever men try to gather and discuss the pertinent issues at hand.

You had me until you implied that homosexual = boy rapist. Kind of closed-minded for someone fighting for civil rights. Or is it just me?

Because it was too idiosyncratic and long for me to read all the way through. I just checked to see if it wasn't an obvious troll. I can't read everything that's being posted all the time, it's just too much, and other admins and mods are currently not very active.
