Greetings to all. I'm new and I mostly observe and learn. I've been observing exchanges here for awhile. I am a man and I think feminism is a crock. However, I do have to say that there are some who project hate here. I've seen people get attacked immediately upon introducing themselves without even being given a fair chance. I've seen crazy attacks and arguments that just don't make sense. I have also seen level-headed people--men and women here who have temperance and a sense of fairness and logic to thier arguments. When one allows hate and anger to take over, reason and logic fly out the window. All this hate and attacking hurts the cause, hurts credibility, gives the enemy an advantage, and is just plain wrong. We need to fight against all forms of injustice, feminist and otherwise, and we need to do it together in a spirit of love and unity. I love (good) women but I hate injustice, bad people, and lies, such as is found in feminism. To all my brothers and sisters--peace and unity! Together we can resist the BS and stand against misandry AND misogyny and all hate in all its forms. Thank you.

Amen. Well said. I agree- let's work together. I'm new, and I'm here as someone who really does care about men's rights every bit as much as I do women's rights. When it comes down to it, it's really human rights we're talking about. And I think we need to come together...to communicate, to empathize (to try and understand one another.) I know that some of you may find it extremely hard to believe that someone with my background/personal history actually gives a **** about men's rights, but I really do.

Yes your are correct Tain I have a serious habit of attacking feminist.. I find it hard to believe some woman would be a feminist and claim to care about men. Sounds like an oxymoron.
Thomas Jefferson once said "It takes time to persuade men to do even what is for their own good." Feminuts are stupid, throw some common sense at them. They won't know what hit them.

Depends what you mean--feminism as a movement, or an individual woman or girl who calls herself a feminist. A lot of well intentioned individuals can be misled and misinformed about femenism. What I can't believe is anyone being exposed for any amount of time to the horrible BS feminism generates and yet staying in the movement for long. I think anyone who really and truly wants to do the right thing will reject feminism once they have all the facts. When they stick to it regardless of the evidence, then a clear choice has been made and they become the enemy. Women can fight for justice and rights without being part of a kooky organization trying to get power over others, while diguising themselves as fighting for "equality." I put that in quotes to clarify what I mean by equality: men and women are NOT equal, as in the same. I do not believe in that kind of equality. There is no such equality in all of nature and humans are no exception. As human beings we can have equal rights under the law, as well we should. That is, no discrimination or oppression of any kind against anyone because of "race," color, or sex. As far as I can see, here in the US the playing field is level if not skewed on behalf of women in some instances. Feminists know it but they are pissed that it doesn't result in women being on top, and they just want power by almost any means necessary.

tainoarawak, welcome. I hear what you are saying. I too want for both men and women to work together. I am glad you have come out of the shadows.

O I agree Tain.. Good points. My question for women like Terra and Julie here concern equal rights for women. What rights do women not already have that must be fought for? Thomas Jefferson once said "It takes time to persuade men to do even what is for their own good." Feminuts are stupid, throw some common sense at them. They won't know what hit them.

First of all, I'm not part of any organization. I believe in equality: that is, that both men and women have equal worth. By some definitions, that makes me a feminist. But I see myself as more of an equalist. It's not that I think men and women are exactly the same, but that I see us all having the same value. In answer to your question, Billy, women do seem to have equal rights, legally speaking. But there are still issues in society that relate to sexism, and not just issues that relate to women (in regard to sexism), but to men, as well.

First and foremost, welcome aboard tainoarawak! A great introduction and you seem to have your head in place. Quote:

Unlike feminism, I recognise BOTH sides have issues. The reason I personally focus on men's side of the coin is because women's side receives plenty of government, private and public funding to help address their side as well as huge amounts of exposure in the media at various methods. Men's issues get no support from the public, no support from the government and no support from private organisations.

I think it's scandalous the lack of support and resources. Men seem to be falling through the cracks. You're absolutely right about this: men need resources, too, and if the government is going to help out women in that regard, it ought to be helping men, as well. Rest assured, that if I do get the job (the counseling position) I told you about, I will be using my position and authority (and political pull) to help raise awareness that men need resources for DV issues, and I'll do my best to see that some changes are made on a middle and macro level. I plan to do the same thing in regard to our drug laws which are in dire need of reform. I don't blame feminism for the problem (they did not create it) - but I do hold everyone (feminists included!) responsible for the solution. We have to work together to solve these issues.

indeed so, Tera, but typically feminists resist men trying to band together to form their own support/lobby groups. We have seen this happen repeatedly, yet other feminists deny it happens - or claim "oh they're not feminists", basically avoiding any responsibility.
