Radler sounds like a wine cooler that was popular with the girls here at one time.
Bananajuice is juice made of bananas....like applejuice or orangejuice.

So what I do....I draw 0,5 liters of Weizen in a Weizenglas then pour some Bananajuice over it....and tatdaaaaaa theres a Bananenweizen....

Those people who I don´t know a drinking Bananenweizen. See the beer looks more yellow than it normally should...

Re: Helloooooooooooooo!

Sorry for double posting (is there no edit button?)....

You can create Radler if you mix beer with sprite. Almost tastes the same. Really popular here is beer coke mix too (most 60/40 or 50/50)

Re: Helloooooooooooooo!

I wouldn't mind trying the bananaweizen but will pass on coke and beer. I drink so rarely but like to taste the beer when I do. And that is why I like German beer, it has the most flavor.

I don't see a double post, Bola may have caught it already.

I don't see a double post. There's no edit function available by default. We discourage editing of posts, although it's available for premium members, I believe.

Re: Helloooooooooooooo!

What an interesting thread.

In the time y'all discussed beer, I was able to give "strange, amazing, crazy, shocking" information to a number of newspaper articles through comments.

"I'll take the medal thanx"

I don't want to hear, "Yeah but you missed the TV station comments".

Just kidding.

............................

So does Germany have a men's movement? ........... Also, ..

I wanted to change English words in German words but then I noticed this comment on a site.

I was so surprised at the sheer amount of anglicisms used in German. This website for the radio station Sunshine Radio really says it all.. http://www.sunshine-live.de/index.php?id=4
The interface has changed a bit from last month, but when i counted the total number of
words in English was over 50 per cent. I counted them for a project not because i was bored btw... (I don't think i'd ever get that bored)

Totally weird anglicism are everywhere here....we even have fake anglicisms. Words that seems to be english but aren´t (handy is the name we use for mobiles). You can say, if there is something new here it almost always gets an English name. There is a show here called "Germanys next Topmodell" I really don´t know why they didn´t call it "Deutschlands nächstes Supermodell"....hm guess it is longer and doesn´t sound hip enough.

And jep we have a mens movement....probably a small one

@Bola
What I meant with double posting I wanted to put my two smallposts into a bigger better superpost via the edit button. But it is okay that way. I´ve been on boards where you get bashed if you post 2 times in a row....

Re: Helloooooooooooooo!

What I forgot....you´ll probably laugh your ass off....when soccer fans meet to watch a soccer match for example on a marketplace on a canvas. We call it "Public Viewing"....

If my information is correct "Public Viewing" means something really different in English than whatching soccer with a lots of drunken fans.

I will look up the link shortly.

Are you are talking about the Anglican Church?

I can see it meaning that. You are a group of people (the public) viewing something.

But public viewing to me means the show on TV is graded as worthy for all the public. All the people.

Percy could help with this one. I have no idea what are the real meanings of words. I have been asked to get an editor to write on my website.

Apparently, I don't even know good English.

From what I´ve heard the term "public viewing" is used when you visit a deceased during a funeral, when the casket is open. Isn´t it?

I will see if I can find some information on the web about Anglicism. I have never heard of this. And I think I may have read the word wrong and jumped to conclusion.

It also means the above.

The public is viewing something. The people as a group are looking at the same thing.

It also means people viewing art studios or the museum or someone playing music on the street to earn money.
