Why was the "Of Abortion and Homemakers, something to think about" thread deleted?

At Marx's suggestion, I am asking this question here.

The other day, I started a thread in CHIT CHAT entitled, "Of abortion and homemakers...something to think about". My thread was almost immediately deleted by TMOTS as "not being about men, boys, misandry--garbage".

The thread was an attempt to prevent future generations of females from becoming feminists.

As a pro-life activist and full-time homeschooler/homemaker, I was also perturbed at what I see going on today, whereby the homemaker profession is denigrated not only by feminists but also by many others, incl. some in the MRM. I also have a problem when I see unwed girls labeled as slutty, because this only encourages abortion.

I realize that many girls/women ABUSE the state of unwed maternity, and the profession of homemaker, but that does not mean ALL females do.

When we denigrate homemaking as a valid choice for married women, and when we ridicule girls who find themselves pregnant, we are unwittingly HELPING feminism because their goal is ALSO to make young girls cast homemaking aside as a possibility, and to see the state of unwed maternity as a negative, hence, the rise in abortion rates.

While the thread did not directly mention men, boys or misandry, but instead pointed out ways to prevent even more girls from becoming feminists, I was assured that working against feminism IS a goal of this site, hence, my thread.

I'd like to see the thread restored.

Annette,

Whether you write about it or not will not change a thing. You should have let this go.

Men have enough of a hard time with women pushing them around in the real world and now women are going to push them around on the Internet. And on a site that is meant for men, run by men and about males.

But like I said I am not able to judge another because I far from a good friend to men. I don't say the right things much but I walk OK. My actions is the only thing that keeps me in the good books with men.

Re: Why was the "Of Abortion and Homemakers, something to think about" thread deleted

I would like to see the thread myself. I trust TMOTS but at the same I would like to see what was so offending about this thread. I don't think threads should be deleted just because they don't mention men. But any thread that has any thing to offer the men's movement should be allowed and the forum debate the validity. Of course I do not know what goes on behind the scenes so to speak but I have faith that the right thing is done whether I know about it or not.
Hey TMOTS like I said I trust you this is not intended to impugn your character or integrity but I do get curious when a forum member gets this upset about a thread deletion that they feel was either innocent or even helpful.

With the whole world already concentrating on women's problems, I don't think we should be expected to spend time and energy on it as well. We have problems of our own.

A thread like that belongs on Ladies Against Feminism. This site isn't about how girls are affected by feminist society's views of abortion and homemaking. It's about how men are affected. If you're here to fight for the men you know and love, Annette, then you are in the appropriate place. If you're here to fight for women's right to stay at home, and against abortion, this isn't the place.

One thing I've heard from men over and over is that they do not want to go back to the traditional ways, where they are responsible for keeping a family. They had respect for doing it back then. There is no way they have respect for doing it now. And it isn't likely that they will all of a sudden be respected for it in the future.

The genie is out of the bottle.

No you don't need to see the thread. TMOTS said 'NO' and that is final. Annette has a lot going on for her and us females can support her without your input.

I know that this sounds mean but honestly women don't need saving anymore. It is men that need saving.

Re: Why was the "Of Abortion and Homemakers, something to think about" thread deleted

Its hard for people to know what the thread was about since it was censored before they could see it.

My thread was not only about helping females. It was about NIPPING FEMINISM in the bud before it infects the NEXT generation as well.

If those here do not care about doing that, then, well, what can I say?

The thread was giving ways HOW we can nip it in the bud. Because if we don't, the feminism problem will just go on and on and on.

And no, I won't "let it go" if there is no legitimate reason why a thread was deleted. Its not as if I started a thread that said "men suck" or something. For crying out loud, it was an anti-feminist thread!

Here's what you don't grasp. I am 100% against feminism, perhaps more than some of the men on this site. And here's why I say that.

I would be 100% against feminism even if they treated men equally and fairly. The mistreatment of men, like the legalization of abortion, is a side effect of the overall tragedy that is feminism. They are by-products.

And until people wake up and realize that certain beliefs some of us have are only enabling feminism to continue to do its dirty work, things will not change for the better.

Feminism in and of itself is intriniscally evil and destructive. This would be so even if they treated men fairly. Feminism's goal was the destruction of the nuclear family, religion, everything that many of us hold dear. Communism recognized the value in feminism, which is why the two movements often worked hand in hand. Henry Makow points this out often in his writings.

You say you don't want to go back to traditional gender roles. Well guess what? Neither do feminists. That's why they brought about a movement to end them.

Annette we are too far down the track to go back. Your husband can support you and your children on one wage. What a wonderful man you have. But most can't. Not anymore.

I honestly envy you. But I can't work with females like you. You are rare now. I think you are so great. Really I do but I have to live in another world. My world is cold and it never stops. I hate it. But now I know what men go through. But not only do I know what men go through but I know that at the same time they are hated.

OMG, this is insanity.

Good for you to be a housewife and good for you for all that you do. What do you want though? Do you want to enslave all men this way? No!!! I know you don't.

Re: Why was the "Of Abortion and Homemakers, something to think about" thread deleted

Julie, This may come as a surprise to you, but MOST of the women I know are stay-at-home moms. They are homeschoolers.

Each week I take my girls to the homeschool support meeting, and there are many homeschooling mothers and fathers there (in some cases, the father is the one who is the homeschooler and the wife works outside the home.)

The homeschooling movement is booming here in the USA. And naturally one parent (usually the mother) has to stay home, how else will the children be educated? So this means that there are MANY parents who are staying home to teach their children. I'm not by any means the only one.

Too many people think they "must" have both spouses working outsdie the home, but when you really get down to talking to some of them, you find they are doing it for luxuries (I'm not singling out you or anyone else, I don't know your situation). But there ARE many who really don't "have to", they choose to.

Feminism is the one that convinces women and men that both spouses "must" work for a wage. This is how they keep their movement going, by keeping women in the workforce. They have treated the homemaker with disdain from the gitgo, and when some of us do it too, we help advance their cause.

Every time a young female hears any of us speak disparagingly of the job of homemaker, or speak insultingly of ALL young girls who become pregnant outside of marriage (provided they are not "one-right-after-the-other" types), it confirms what feminism has already assured them: don't waste your life raising children and being a homemaker! Go to college, get a career! Don't have that baby, abort it and move on with your life!

I'm not saying all women MUST be homemakers or be pro-life, but when we of all people disparage the role of homemaker (as feminists have always done), and when we disparage unwed girls who find themselves pregnant, we push them right into the arms of feminism. And that means that a generation from now, boards like this will still be necessary!
