Hi Fred, Not an issue... I would've responded earlier, sadly my laptop crashed as I was midpost. It took me quite a while to sort out my laptop as even Norton's life-saving "GoBack" wouldn't ... well, go back. I think the internal h/d became too hot to operate with any stability. After a bit of cooling time with no h/d activity, it sprang back into life of it's own accord. Phew! Anyway, the resolve for this issue is to go to your profile and select "Enable ratings". This should sort it out. For members who cannot resolve this themselves (e.g. cannot find the 'ratings' section of their profile, leave a message here and I'll manually edit the setting for you.

Just a forewarning...My hard-drive has pretty much died on me. I don't how know how long this is going to last out, but it's safe to say it is on it's last legs now. Shortly after it sprang back to life (see above post), it died again. I have been unable to salvage any recent data from it (thank God for external drives/backup storage), including about a weeks worth of emails, messenger logs and suchlike. I'm a little bit annoyed about this turn of events. So, once again (it must be getting old hearing this), IF I vanish offline a while, you'll know why... Anyone wishing to donate to the new fund of "Buy Karl a new internal 3.5" h/d for his Toshiba Laptop" is welcome to do so... ![]() I attempted to hook my external drive so as to use an Operating System drive (as a short term answer), alas my BIOS doesn't recognise firewire connections...iow, it didn't work!
