speaking of lost posts-where did my deleted post titles go,along with the reasons for deleting them?


and why were they removed- if they were?

While writing, the site logged me out. So when I logged back in, the post said it was sent, but I see no evidence of that. Is it just gone forever and I should start over?

HS-the site logs out on me too once in a while when attempting to post sometimes-but usually when u hit the submit button-it takes u straight to log in-u log in and then it takes you to your post-posted

I did have a similar problem at Guido Fawkes Blog but I think we have made up now!

Megan, I too along with everyone else have experienced this unfortunate circumstance.

To avoid this incredible annoyance, ensure you copy and paste the quote you are responding to (as a source of reference) into wordpad or similar.

Then, you can reply at you're leisure (within wordpad) without fear of having all you're carefully crafted work erased (I know, it's happened to me so many times). Once you're done, copy and paste it to post.

And what is even better than having word pad open. Before hitting send do

ctrl + a, ctrl + c

Easy, simple, fast.

I genuinely don't know why other people get logged out, if they have used the tickbox next to the login button which says "remember me".

If that selection is not made, the system cookies keep a member logged in for only 15 minutes. However, if you select the 'remember me' option, you are constantly logged in - and so should never see the 'you need to log in' warning / lose posts.

Outdoors, I have no idea where your deleted posts have gone... really, I don't. I'm going to assume if they've really gone, another admin has deleted them for a reason.

I can maybe explain, Outdoors asked me to get deleted and I told him to sleep about it. I had no answer so I didn´t delete his posts. Does that help?

I've had numerous requests from certain members to "delete" their account in the midst of an irrational outburst. Of course my initial response is the same as Feck's, sleep on it my friend. Invariably the majority are thankful of this option.

Yes, all you admins are the same... no matter how many times I beg for you to delete my account, you refuse!!! And so it is, I am forced here, daily, to digest and respond. Oh the abuses.
