This isn't a trolling question: I just want to know...

Awhile back I read something that Julie wrote that suggested that feminists post on this website should have their rep points kept to a purposeful minimum. (I wish I could remember the thread I saw this in...forgive me, I'll look for it). And the thing is, since I've been here, I've noticed that if my rep points exceed 3,000 (which they have, twice), for no apparent reason all of a sudden the points will change and go down by at least 1,000. (Without having received any reason at all for the drop in points.) A few minutes ago, my points were 3,400+, and now they're down to 2,045. For no reason. I checked. Second time it's happened and I was just wondering if someone could explain to me how and why this occurs? I understand if someone gives you negative rep and your points go down for it. But twice it's happened for no given reason at all.

Does this happen to anybody else? I'm just wondering if it's a glitch, or a common occurrence that happens to all of us, or is something else going on here?

Gosh, I don't remember asking anything about rep points.

But I can give some enlightenment on this.

The reps go up and the reps go down.

Happens to me all the time.

Re: This isn't a trolling question: I just want to know...

It was an old post, Julie, and for the life of me I wish I could remember where exactly I read it. You said something about not wanting to give guests who visit here the impression that feminists are thought of too highly...anyway, it's just that I wondered what was going on because yes I know reps go up and down, but twice for me, it's gone down for no apparent reason. (If you look at your profile you can see who's given you rep and who's taken it away, and why.) But twice my rep's "mysteriously" for no given reason by no person. That's what doesn't make sense.

Just wondering if reps just "magically" do this all on it's own or what. After the last person added to my rep, the rep dropped by a thousand points or so but there's nothing on my profile that says who, what, when, or why.

That's what I'm curious about.

It must have been an old comment. I have had my share of complaints of rep points and stay away from the subject now.

Your rep points go down when someone disagrees with what you say or you are out of line. You may have got them from the thread about the MRA who was killed by police.

Re: This isn't a trolling question: I just want to know...

I know they go down when someone disagrees with you, but doesn't that information show up in your profile?

I see (on my profile) where people have added to or taken away points. But what I'm saying is, twice now points have disappeared with no corresponding notation at all on my profile as to who did it, why, or whatever.

Does this make sense?

Or can people take away points completely anonymously for no given reason? There's nothing showing on my profile to account for the last drop. That's what I'm saying.

Oh well...if no one knows the answer to this I'll ask Marx. Maybe he can explain it to me.

Should this be in the Conspiracy Theories (!?) section?

Seriously though, maybe it happens when you think of having a hair cut. The rep points rumble.

That is a staggering amount of hair you have there. Is it a competition with Kimmy? I like long hair on a woman but somehow enough to keep a Jewish Mothers Club in wigs for 30 years is a tad much. Crikey, you even have to prop your head up with your hand.

I know this all sounds very impertinent and personal but my beard is under challenge here! and my chest hair is crying foul.

By the way, if you divide the rep points by the number of posts, you are about neck and neck with me.

My hair grows painfully slow....it's taken me about 7 years to grow it out to the length it is now...and that's not very long. It's only about six inches past my shoulders!

You sportin' a ZZ Top look?

Re: This isn't a trolling question: I just want to know...

I'm not sure what a ZZ Top is, but I have a full head of the stuff. I have hair all over my face. I have to brush it aside and poke a hole in it just to smoke my pipe. Hair every damned where except my back and arse.

When I was born - so I was told - I had bushes of hair sprouting in odd places all over. It was blond back then. By two I had a pile of blond, curly hair. I have snaps of me as a little tyke with my dog, (just like Kimmy). Then I had menningitis lodged in the Pia Mater and had to have an operation. They shaved all my hair off and when it grew back afterwards it was black and straight.

It was either the trauma for me as a little chap or my folks took the wrong bald kiddie home.

I like to imagine that the real me is very rich and living in Rio, with a very large and beautiful house and a lot of sweet natured ladies around me. I have a Learjet there. And a huge library. This me here is getting heartily sick of white-haired poverty, having been dispossessed of my small Palace overlooking the Huon Valley, that I worked so hard for, by she who wasn't so sweet but I still Love. Thank goodness I have some books.

As a “Born again Christian” I would greatly encourage Kim and Tera NOT to cut their hair........
1 Corinthians 11: 14 + 15.
14. Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?
15. But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.

It is as simple as ABC – Always Believe Christ.

Not so many years ago, here in the UK, a person would of struggled to meet a woman with short hair, alas, now a person struggles to meet a woman with long hair.

Robert.

Many people gave her rep points to keep her here debating. Not because she has all the answers.

Thomas Jefferson once said "It takes time to persuade men to do even what is for their own good."

Feminuts are stupid, throw some common sense at them. They won't know what hit them.
