Well that's a good outcome from a tragic story. If only more mothers were so thoughtful and quick thinking instead of simply thinking of themselves all of the time.

I think most mothers are. Most mothers sacrifice for their kids every day. We just don't think about it or talk about it because it's not bad news, and let's face it, how often does a situation like that happen? Less often than the shootings in Colorado, for sure. I'm not saying some mothers aren't bad, God knows mine won no prizes, but if all you look for is bad news, I guarantee you that's all you'll find.

The other thing is, people expect parents to sacrifice for their kids, so unless it's extraordinary, it isn't going to make the news. Think about that.
