Kenyan men urged to boycott meals in abuse protest
From BBC World Africa:
Rest of the article, can be found HEREA Kenyan men's lobby group has called for a six-day food boycott to highlight what it says is increasing domestic violence against men.
The organisation, Maendeleo Ya Wanaume, wants Kenyan men to stop eating meals cooked at home by wives and partners.
It says men should instead eat together outside the home, and share experiences of emotional and physical abuse.
Kenya's government does not take domestic violence against men seriously and may be fuelling it, the group says.
Maendeleo Ya Wanaume's leader Ndiritu Njoka told the BBC's Network Africa programme that he called for the nationwide boycott to try to stop women beating up or emotionally abusing their husbands and spouses.
{Just a note, I haven't used a prefix for this thread, as we don't have one for Kenya}

This is the vid associated with the story. Listen to what the commentator says and also read the comments on the vid. They made me very very angry. WARNING GRAPHIC IMAGES OF DV VICTIMS!!!!!

Kenya too, eh?
Not in the slightest surprised. We see this everywhere that women are encouraged to be "empowered" and the authorities refuse to hold them accountable for their unacceptable actions, or try to pretend they are either acceptable, excusable or simply not happening at all. But what does surprise me is the BBC publicising female DV. How did this one slip past the feminist censors at the Beeb? Are they losing their grip at last?Civilisation: man's greatest, and most unappreciated, gift to women

Re: Kenyan men urged to boycott meals in abuse protest
Hey we need to get everyone here with a youtube channel to mirror this vid so it won't disappear. There is now doubt in my mind that when the feminists get a view of this video they will browbeat the station into taking it off their channel. How do you mirror a vid for these purposes anyway?
Posted a story about this just now in Articles thanks MikeT for the scoop!Do not ever suppose that a small group of people can never change the world. INDEED it is the only thing that ever has.

Who was that mangina who was interviewed? He actually called these women "evolved"! And, yes, there were some really nasty comments actually defending the sadistic whores. Even if the men are alcoholics, are not providing for their families, or are cheating on their wives, there is never any excuse for battering or mutilating another human being.

- ...and the fact that women were now earning more than men and as better earners were more resentful that they were taking up more financial responsibility.

This is not limited to Kenya... My ex wife was the main earner and it royally pissed her and her so-called mother off big time, even though the so-called mother opted to work only part time while she nagged relentlessly at her long-suffering husband about him not earning enough.
The video amazes me, the female presenter mentions issues in such a context as everything is the man's fault and thus any instances of violence the men encounter must surely be 'deserved'. For example, she states: "...current trend of men's inability to provide for their family and failure to take care of their wives to enjoy their conjugal rights due to low libido."
Now, consider if it were women with the low sex-drive and it were men throwing acid over them in response, there would be no blame on her - it would be a simple case that he is an abuser and suchlike. Why is the news-reporter casting the news in this light of pointing a finger of blame at the victims of DV?

Wife : "I dreamt they were auctioning off dicks. The big ones went for ten dollars and the thick ones went for twenty dollars."
Husband : "How about the ones like mine?"
Wife : "Those they gave away."
Husband : "I had a dream too...I dreamt they were auctioning off pussy. The pretty ones went for a thousand dollars, and the little tight ones went for two thousand."
Wife : "And how much for the ones like mine?"
Husband : "That's where they held the auction."

This is what happens when men let women head the household..

I was wondering that too.
Maendeleo Ya Wanaume - which means Development for Men - was set up to try to encourage men to speak out in a society that often ridicules as weak, men who are subjected to domestic violence.
Looks like we have a new term for our dictionary: Maendeleo Ya Wanaume

Notice the standard excuses of being an alcoholic, poor provider, cheater, low libido for the domestic violence. The female BBC presenter simply provides excuses for these vile women.Who was that mangina who was interviewed? He actually called these women "evolved"! Western Feminism is on the rise in Africa and is really going to do some incredible harm to men, boys and their society in general. The circumcision of Africa is just the tip (no pun intended) of the spear.
I don't think feminism is going to be able to take root in Africa without a whole lot of violence, but why would women care? As long as they get some sort of compensation or benefit, they will enable this mess.Last edited by The Possible Human; 21st-February-2012 at 01:09 PM. Reason: content auto merged

Clealy criminal actions that should be dealt with by criminal charges being levelled against those women who have gone over the top regards the commonly accepted risk factors of being in a relationshit with a nasty fish..
I don't think refusing to eat your dinner will persuade she who must be obeyed to be nicer..
It certainly wont help ones libido either...

Feminists move over to the 3rd World for their arguments when their statistics don't prove their case. They conflate 3rd World problems with Western problems in a slight of hand of equivocation.
Problems of 3rd World men should be priority I believe for the MRM. A video like this is important.

Re: Kenyan men urged to boycott meals in abuse protest No,
Thank you, rohara.
Reason I found out about this in the first place, was because I've started listening to Radio New Zealand in my radio earmuffs at work, the idiotic advertising on commercial radio these days really pisses me off.
Although RNZ is rather left-leaning, it is a gold-mine of information in a number of areas.
This thing came up during a segment of the afternoon show, that is entitled "Odd-stuff on the internet".
Like it is actually odd that men should stand up for their own rights and not have to put up with being beaten up by their wives.
The woman who was relating this story is an American guest to the show, and she usually does a very good job with her presentations.
However a bit of an argument between her and the host of the show, broke out, the guy (Jim Mora, who is a veteran broadcaster here), said "Well is it that "strange" that men in any country should speak out about their own plight?, and that is what it is, no-one should be subjected to any sort of violence, regardless of gender.
What I don't see as right is how these men are not being taken seriously by law enforcement authorities in that country.....and it has come to this to illustrate the dire situation"
She had nothing to counter-act that statement.

Re: Kenyan men urged to boycott meals in abuse protest
What the female presenter of the radio show did coincided quite accurately with how the female presenter of the news article presented it too. Both seem to quite happily see it as nothing more than an inconvenience to men... Same as how women look upon men having 20,000 nerves chopped off his genitals as just a little snip while demanding we focus exclusively on the same culture which chops off 8,000 nerves from female genitals. Apparently, it's worse to chop 8k nerves than it is 20k nerves.

Resentful because they are having to take responsibility for their own actions? Well now I'm in full support of these husbands. After all, us guys are always having to take responsibility for our actions.
