I think their intended message came through fine and I think their intended audience was moms. Father bashing is popular among that demographic.

I agree. Oh and feel free to look at my post in the thread started by Zuberi, "Portraying Men as Stupid to Undermine Women?"
Contrary to what some feminists say, male violence is not "acceptable", "sanctioned" or "institutionalized" behavior. The fact that it is even considered criminal is proof of that.

As a Dad who changed a lot of diapers in the past I am a bit pissed off at the huggies brand. They more or less crapped on Dads everywhere by painting them as incompetent morons who cannot take care of the basics with infants. I hope huggies suffers because of this, but they probably won't. Women still view men as totally incompetent when it comes to care for children. Only blasting the incessant dis-information will pay off for men.

That they apologised and revised is a step forward.

Coke Cola ran a male bashing add last year and it noticeably reduced their sales and profit margin of that product for the quarter. That graph and info is on here somewhere. So there is an affect and it's just a matter of exposing it and making sure everyone gets to hear about it. Otherwise, nothing changes and we are just pissing in the wind..

Quite so. Every little bit helps. We help society every time we collectively help men to realise that they are not alone in their feelings of being pushed into 'moron' status. Each effort we make helps to show men and women alike that men are not deserving of the discrimination against them.

This story is about DADS being portrayed as boneheads etc.... Note the end of the story though folks. She closes the story by telling us that the creator of the disposible diaper was a mother of two....

Yes, I noticed that "millionaire mother" story slipped in at the end. Just to prove the glass ceiling hypothesis. Er, no, hang on .. it disproves the glass ceiling idea, doesn't it .. hmm.

Yes, she was an inventor back when women were prohibited by teh patriarchy. She also got a patent back when women couldn't get patents due, again, to teh patriarchy.
