BBC News - David Cameron criticised after attacking 'runaway dads'
I draw your attention to Erin Pizzey's interview video whare she confronts a number of very pertinent matters. (Scroll down half-way)
I would also like you to think about her professed and evidenced work with and for single mothers. In watching this vid I could imagine a few MRA hackes rising - "she supports and works with single mothers, therefore she can't be a 'real' men's rights activist", they may well say.
But Erin walks that narrow tightrope. She does her best for many groups and represents a 'Goodness' of heart and intellect that sees clearly and acts appropriately. She 'Loves' in a very practical way, including boxing the ears of the feminists and politicians and placing 'blame' where it is due.
She can easily be misunderstood by some of the more armchair-militant and unthinking MRAs who want men to be seen as doing no wrong.
I am reminded, just watching her in action with a 'tricky' interviewer, of the role of clarity and a facility for articulating the problems. And solutions.
I am also reminded of our friend Jools in New Zealand. Jools is far less articulate and sometimes overwhelmed by the amount of work she takes on. Jools sometimes gets flack for being seen on 'the side' of single mums and at the same time as single dads, and men in general. Just like Erin. She too has a 'Goodness' of heart and is prepared to stand up and tell truths.
Jools is a mini-Erin. Not as well known; not a book writer; not an iconic figure in the MRM. She deserves to be better known and appreciated however.

Re: Erin and Jools
I didn't see the video, as I can't take in much these days, but yes, Julie dose seem a bit like a mini-Erin as you put it, but then you'd need to have seen a lot of Erin's work and Julie's posts to perceive that.
Also as you pointed out, attitude has much to do with seeing them like that too. There are those MRA's who won't abandon their tribal regard of the MRM to accomodate the support of such female members in the movement.
I am trubbled by Julie's more increasingly expressed moments of doubt as to weather she feel's she belongs with us, and I hope she overcomes them.
But sometimes, I just wish that I could understand even half of her weird posts though.Last edited by Trauma Fried Brains; 3rd-February-2012 at 10:03 AM. Reason: added the word 'just'

I totally respect Julie for her hard work and getting herself out on the front line.
But lately,I just wish that I could understand even half of her weird posts though.

Re: Erin and Jools
The problem is, Cameron is too scared of offending female voters & their money-spending power - so he will NOT discuss the bad women. His greed to appease the female citizens leaves him in a position where he displays his lack of a back-bone for the entireMs Pizzey said it was wrong to single out men, adding: "There is a vast mass of women who are equally as feckless as the men and we never talk about them."
countryworld to see as he resorts to sexist attacks in order to please the majority voter.►My blog / Your Blog

Wife : "I dreamt they were auctioning off dicks. The big ones went for ten dollars and the thick ones went for twenty dollars."
Husband : "How about the ones like mine?"
Wife : "Those they gave away."
Husband : "I had a dream too...I dreamt they were auctioning off pussy. The pretty ones went for a thousand dollars, and the little tight ones went for two thousand."
Wife : "And how much for the ones like mine?"
Husband : "That's where they held the auction."

Re: Erin and Jools
Id give you my famous "100% correct" verdict for that comment if you had used the word MISANDRIC instead of the term that is usually used by feminists that I cannot allow to pass my lips let alone flow from my
wankingtyping hand..
I find it far easier to get female support for the mens and fathers cause than male support.. But you must always be careful with them..
Women are notoriously tricksy..
As for the men in "the cause".. Well, I know only too well what their classic shortcomings are..
Both sex's seem overly keen to expect nanny/big brother to do the job of sorting the shit out that is best sorted out by the folks who are in it, or around it.."Women...

Re: Erin and Jools
This really is the major stumbling block. No politician nor talking head will dare to discuss the bad women because team woman will always be near unanimous in their outrage at any criticism of any woman, women take criticism of a woman personally for some unfathomable reason.
Yes there are reasonable women like Erin and Jools, to name but two of too few, but whereas the majority of men will condemn the real bad men the majority of women will defend, or at least make excuses for, the real bad women.
There really is no reasoning with these creatures because they have no sense of decency, no sense of fair play or justice ....... they only have a sense of what suits them and even that may change with the wind. Those who are too smart to engage in politics are punished by being governed by those who are dumber. ~Plato

Re: Erin and Jools
jools is about as much like erin as a block of cheese is like a piece of chalk.. Thats what I think anyway.. Being well meaning is not enough, there are plenty of well meaning folk who fuck things up for others because of a basic lack of understanding of what is what..

Re: Erin and Jools
Well yes, Erin is clear and concise, Jools is vague sometimes meaningless and often comes across like an escaped mental patient, but I do believe she helps folk regardless of their sex, that would be enough to count her as decent in my book.FB: jools is about as much like erin as a block of cheese is like a piece of chalk..Those who are too smart to engage in politics are punished by being governed by those who are dumber. ~Plato

Re: Erin and Jools
I suppose helping the enemies is noble too.. But helping them in a way that hurts our side is not good.. The men and fathers cause have always been far too eager to suck up to women in the hope of getting more numbers and therefore more "productivity".. But they tend to be too quick to ignore the fact that many women are coming from a perspective that is ultimately very damaging to what is best for men and families..
Women are largely an irrelevant destraction to the business we are about, unless they are of the quality of the likes or erin pizzey, or a few others, i.e. can talk some fucking sense..
The others should stick to doing what they are told, maybe make the sandwhiches or wash the fucking dishes.."Women...
