Zimbabwe: Death penalty scrapped for women
‘The final draft constitution spares female murderers from the hangman’s noose as it states that no woman shall face the death penalty.’
With a country ruled by a lunatic dictator where state thuggery is the rule of law, life expectancy is ~40, mass starvation, zip health care, state torture, routine state summarily killings and humongous child mortality rates – this is what Weston feminists lobby for? Fucking self obsessed out of this world morons. Go girl go.

Re: Zimbabwe: Death penalty scrapped for women
Zimbabwe was once prosperous and the bread-basket of Africa.
Lunacy is now the order of the day.
Has the UN or the US (world police) or the UK (former colonial masters whose sons made it rich) ever considered stepping in?
No. That's realpolitik.

Re: Zimbabwe: Death penalty scrapped for women
Zimbabwe, the former bread basket of Africa.
Before sociopath, despot and mass murderer Robert Mugabe decided white farmers had to go (he replaced high-produce farmers with his sycophant followers who destroyed it), without realising a practical solution was necessary to contend with his brash and destructively insular vision. The outcome? Total disaster for the country and many reliant countries.
He's a racist as bad and no more excusable than any klan member!
I can't take any legal measures seriously from a government who violently oppressed and murdered thousands of it's own population who dared to dissent. Did I mention the millions starved to death because of Mugabe's ineptness as a leader and his revolting inhumanity to his own people?
Once Mugabe is no more, a country with so many possibilities can begin anew!Last edited by Celtic Druid; 22nd-July-2012 at 04:37 AM.

Re: Zimbabwe: Death penalty scrapped for women
The white farmers aren't coming back, even once Mugabe goes. Everyone who bitches about colonialism refuses to look at what happens within months of the British leaving. India is an exception - it had a culture and government before the British came, and continued to be civilised after they left. But places that were savage before revert to savagery afterward.

Re: Zimbabwe: Death penalty scrapped for women
Zimbabwe was in the running to have the highest gdp compared with South Africa. They were building cities and moving toward a bright future. Then Robert Gabriel Mugabe stepped in. Now, the average male has a life expectancy of 41.5 years.
100% correct. The underlying animosities between different tribes and groups immediately flare into out right hostilities when the colonial occupation ends. If a culture of cooperation existed before the colonial exploit, the country has a fighting chance. If the country was a collection of warring tribes before colonialism, it would naturally revert to what it was before colonialism.

Re: Zimbabwe: Death penalty scrapped for women
No obvious bias toward males there, eh? Even in Ancient Egypt, women and men were both susceptible to the death penalty. For pregnant women, capital punishment was delayed until after birth, but they still received their punishment.

Re: Zimbabwe: Death penalty scrapped for women
Not at all. I'm not an egyptologist but I enjoy reading history and sciences. Research on Ancient Egypt seems to show a more egalitarian society than any in modern civilization. This included the outcome of legal proceedings-- there was no gender bias for the death penalty.
No matter what the punishment is for crimes, it should be meted out equally without bias. If men can be punished more severely than women then the law is misandrist. This final draft of Zimbabwe's constitution clearly affords women a protection that it has not afforded men.

Re: Zimbabwe: Death penalty scrapped for women
Ok, understood. My perspective as a man with an understanding of the legal system, it shouldn't only be heralded that women receive the same punishment as men, but that a reasonable accommodation is decided as a precedent between the sexes.
As noted, Zimbabwe needs some strong voices to let general folk know what's going on in that turbulent country. As Erin Pizzey famously stated "domestic violence is not a gender issue."
That said, the decision depressingly reverts women to being similar to children and the mentally handicapped insofar as responsibility is concerned.

Re: Zimbabwe: Death penalty scrapped for women
But do women necessarily have equal rights in Zimbabwe?

Re: Zimbabwe: Death penalty scrapped for women
From my understanding certainly not. And it is similarly so with men in a despotic existence.
I think this shortcoming highlights also the need to better communicate with one another.
I am shocked at the general lack of knowledge among young MRAs. I consider it sacrilege if an MRA doesn't conduct the necessary research to wipe the floor with the opposition as standard.
When key debates are being undertaken, I don't just want to see passion and intelligence, I want to see men citing statistics until they're blue in the face and destroying the dysfunction of feminism.Last edited by Celtic Druid; 22nd-July-2012 at 07:18 PM.

Re: Zimbabwe: Death penalty scrapped for women
On the flip side, black people lived like dogs waiting at the table for the white man's scraps in Zimbabwe. They were all second class citizens.
This revolution was bound to happen. It is not a moral argument, it is cause and effect. When you invade a foreign land and subjugate their people, it is the ultimate law of nature that you will either exterminate them (see: the Native Americans), or they will eventually get rid of you.
Good or bad, it is nonetheless as certain as the rising of the sun.I am a non-secular humanist. That means
TWO genders
MANY races
MANY religions
AND ONE SET OF RULES TO BIND THEM ALL!!!
Any questions?
