Students protest sexism
Torstar News Service
February 15, 2008
Alarming new reports of sexual harassment in Toronto’s high schools show the need for Queen’s Park to create a women’s studies course without delay, says a group of university students who have been lobbying the province for this kind of course for three years.
The women protested yesterday outside government offices in Toronto with a mural of headlines and articles about sexual assaults and murders of women that have taken place since they began pushing the Liberals for the course.
Education Minister Kathleen Wynne attended the demonstration and said progress is being made in developing the optional course
Miss G Project
The group calls itself the Miss G Project, a nod to the first American woman to attend university, known only as Miss G, whose premature death in 1873 was blamed by doctors on overuse of her brain.

Did you catch that part at the end? The first American woman in university died from overusing her brain...

Re: women's studies in high school
Whatever it takes to stop this IT MUST BE STOPPED!!!
More and more students are voting with their feet about WHYPERSONS studies and those who have made a career investment in teaching misandry will squeeze every last favour out of the Liberal government they can....including forced indoctrination of highschool kids.
It does not matter if these courses are introduced as "elective"....the culture of misandry that comes with them will cause the male drop out rate to spike.

I'ts never too soon to teach children to hate.
The school system would be vastly improved if an angry mob of good men with pitchforks and torches burned them all down.

Re: women's studies in high school
My bet is that the "demonstration"was a pre-orchestrated done deal and that every member of the "demonstration"is a lesbian who takes WHYmens studies and would only have a future breaking balls in a pool hall if the government did not do some sort of make work project for them
http://www.kathleenwynne.com/aboutKathleen/index.cfm
Let this speak for itself.
There is a remarkble co-incidence in each and every one of these misandry as a government construct and an exercise in public works scenarios...the witch or witches stirring the cauldron are almost invariably lesbians.
Sexual orientation is about which gender you like ...not which gender you hate and want to get lawyers to screw.

The curriculum and academic standards have now been dumbed down to a point that there is really no danger of that ever happening to anyone again.

Re: women's studies in high school
In 1873 universities were not like they are today.... the first American woman to attend university, known only as Miss G, whose premature death in 1873 was blamed by doctors on overuse of her brain.
Abraham Lincoln became a lawyer by being an apprentice in a law office. He never had formal schooling and became one of our best Presidents.
There had been colleges in the US since the late 1600s, but Harvard, for example was a seminary for Puritan preachers. Even while they he was founding Harvard to train preachers, the daughter of Dudley became the first published American writer. Her works are still in print more than 300 years later.
The "first woman to attend college" sounds a lot like another feminist myth, a missile lobbed at men. Females have always been educated as much as they wanted to be, more than men in many cases. Men frequently were out working while the better off females spent years reading and writing and learning all sorts of stuff.

Re: women's studies in high school
Yes, every effort must be made to stop it. It will be pure propaganda - UN Gender Mainstreaming in one of its most potent forms.
You're absolutely right MAUS. Like all these leftist/Marxist crusades they set the whole thing up. You are also right that with a feminist mainstreamed course saying that men are rubbish and oppress men (in spite of millions more women attending University), the drop out rate will spike. For the simple reason that the environment is openly hostile.
Mind you, there are homework diaries published to secondary schools in this country which basically send those messages to kids via some "Did you know?" quotes from the UN. It was only just a few pages and it's still bad, but constant feminist misandry in spoken and written form would be much more damaging to boys.

That are no ordinary women. It are feminists that protested outside the government offices with their latest dose of whining. The Miss G Project of radical, whining feminists. The women protested yesterday outside government offices in Toronto with a mural of headlines and
Women's studies in high schools is rediculous, because their pseudo-teachings contain such a high amount of fallacies and myths.
There's still no Men's studies anywhere in any school, college or university, now that's sexism!Last edited by Tyrael; 16th-February-2008 at 07:33 PM.

Re: women's studies in high school

The students do study about women....and men, and people everywhere....it's called history. Why people can't see that the feminist agenda is to cause conflict and division, I'll never understand."Every noble impulse, every unselfish expression of love; every brave suffering for the right; every surrender of self to something higher than self; every loyalty to an ideal; every unselfish devotion to principle; every helpfulness to humanity; every act of self-control; every fine courage of the soul, undefeated by pretense or policy, but by being, doing, and living of good for the very good’s sake—that is spirituality." -David O. McKay
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians 6:12

Re: women's studies in high school
The trouble with "Women's Studies" is that they really aren't taught about women. They are taught all the susual feminist dogma and propagand that has been debunked for decades. They are taught anti-men hate. They are taught to be feminists. Propagand over truth.
For an inside view of "Women's Studies" and how the Government (in the US at least) demands that propaganda and hate comes before reson and history, read Professing Feminism, by two former Women's Studies Professors Daphne Patai and Noretta Koetge.

Yes, and it's not just Neighbours. Many other soaps have the same attributes.
PS - "male hating"? I think "men-hating" would be more appropriate. Calling us "males" is a femmy trick - a "male" can be any animal, insect, or even bacterium. Let's banish that word from our vocabulary!celtish - Just my twopenn'orth

Re: women's studies in high school
What on Earth do women's studies have to do with sexism, other than teaching it against men?
The protesters were trying to equate attacks against women with not having women's studies in high school? How do the two relate? And if they do, shouldn't we have men's studies to combat the attacks made against men?
Does...not...compute...
