That'd be great if there were a floor devoted to men, though. I can just see it in my mind's eye - just like one of those gentlemen's clubs of the late 19th century. It would have to be updated somewhat, though, with a gym or something.

I wonder what it would take to make something like that happen? A letter-writing campaign? Letters to the editor?

Actually they're busy shutting down gentlemen's clubs - those are sexist somehow and deny women 'equality'. Denying men entry to locations though seems standard fare. Letter writing? Perhaps... If you posted the letters to a tank that is, and rammed through the barricade - then they might make some room for men, or at least get out of the way.

But hell, there was a woman over here last year that got her knickers in a twist because a hunting club refused the use of one of it's hunting baches to a woman, because it was written into the club rules that it's sole purpose was for the use by the clubs male members during weekends as a retreat, while hunting in the nearby bush (and we all know just how women love thier hunting).
Well, you should have heard the whining, there were statements of "that's not fair" and "that's blatant discrimination!"
But it's OK as long as women aren't the one's being discriminated against.
We have womens-only parks, swimming pools and gyms here in NZ, some clown even had the stupid idea of making a parking building here for women only.
I hope that men don't patronise that hotel and it loses money because of their misandric plan to exclude a sizeable percentage of the population from part of it's building.

Women only beaches, women only airlines, the women's channel - who are they kidding claiming to be 'disadvantaged'? Everything, absolutely everything is geared towards women. Open up a business or a club that's men only and prepare yourself to be boarded.

Typical female hypocricy and right here as well. Nothing better than the good old double standards for the privileged princesses, as "well, if they had it we can do the same" attitude really does equality as service does it not.

It's quite simple. Either BOTH men and women have the right to create gender specific spaces. Or, it's discrimination for any gender to do so, whilst the other gender (men) are socially and legally prohibited from doing likewise (the current situation!).

As with sexism and chauvinism, apparently it's different when women discriminate.

Gloria Allred admitting men are being discriminated against? Only to frame a self-serving analogy it seems! Stating that all feminists want is equal rights is a rather superfluous dishonest statement, given that womens rights have far exceeded those of mens, and detrimentally so.

More rights in the form of female supremacy has always been the goal of feminism.

Women say they feel more secure on a floor that is off-limits to men, but Allred said that "goes back to stereotyping of men: Men as sexual predators, women as fragile, needing to be protected. We don’t need to go back to the '50s where we had this kind of stereotyping."

The 50s as with any decade had stereotyping of both genders (social realities?). The difference being men, then, as now, are subjected to predominantly 'negative' stereotyping, whereas women on the whole are not.
