I agree. Men are way better athletes than the females usually, so obviously they are going to get better pay for better performances.

Men play longer matches against far better opponents. So why should women, who play shorter matches against weaker opponents than the men have to face, get the same money? It's the classic misrepresentation of "equality", female-style. Equal pay for unequal work. And of course, virulently attack anyone who dares to point out the hypocrisy. The only way that women tennis players outdo the men is in the extraordinary animal noises they make - but does that make them worthy of equal prize money?

Same in the Olympics. Women get gold medals that are valued equally to men's gold medals, for measurably worse performances against measurably weaker opponents. A woman who can run 100 metres in 11 seconds will earn a place in the Olympics, and possibly the chance of a medal, followed by fame and fortune. A man who can run 100 metres in 10.6 seconds can forget about ever competing in the Olympics because he won't get selected. No chance of any medals for him, no glory and nobody will notice him. Yet he is better than the woman...

But hey ho, it won't change, because it's what women demand; so it's what men give them.

I say - have one competition with one prize (or set of prizes). The women will earn the prizes they deserve just by normal play.

The WTA is a big enough joke without the princesses screaming like impulse driven primates every time they hit the tennis ball.

I'd think it would be high time to have all-female sports and all-male sports. No overlap, and no "let me play so I can be equal...but still mess up the average because I'm too strong/weak."

If men where only compared to other men, and women only compared to other women then there would be no bias.

This happens in a very few sports, such as equestrian and some sailing competitions. Those are the only times when women genuinely show that they can compete equally to men. (There are also a few times when women and men compete alongside one another against other women and men, such as badminton mixed doubles.)

If they want equal pay in tennis the let them play five set matches like the men do

Which I find to be ridiculous.

After all, the vast majority of men ARE stronger than the vast majority of women...that's just how it is. We are predisposed to have more body fat, so although every human body has the same muscles, women have a harder time keeping a muscular figure. That's no reason to "punish" someone with a lower salary, but letting them get away with doing less is!

The sexes have innate biological differences, much as some would like to deny it. For example, women are better at differentiating colors while men are better at seeing movement. We compliment each other, and while I'm certainly not against someone who wants to stay single (like you and I, Zuberi) or devotes their life to becoming the best they can be, I do wish we would remember that.

It's the pure and simple truth. Men need women, women need men. In the past, our reliance on one another meant "Do or Die" for present and future generations. Someone had to get the dietary meat/ protect the tribe...the same as someone had to get the dietary plants/care for the children.

In modern times, we are only a tribe in the absolute loosest definition. Families don't even care for each other, so there's little reason to expect our community or even immediate neighbors to care for the well being of our "tribe".
