Just plain common sense from Lord Sugar

I'm afraid common sense was abolished some time ago

Just plain common sense from Lord Sugar, in fact I'd say that employers should be able to ask prospective employees anything about their lives outside work in order to gain a fuller picture of the sort of people they are. It is NOT just about their ability to do the job, but whether they will fit in and show at least some loyalty to their employer.

How about employers showing some loyalty to the working class?

Employers are just as replaceable as workers.
