Thread: Woman hit 5 times by police - after she tries to sexually assault him during arrest

She was pissed and agressive and had been thrown out of a nightclub. She had gratuitously damaged someone's car. She had gone back into where she had been thrown out of. She kneed him in the balls and grabbed his balls.

I don't understand the mystery of where the woman was hit by the cop. All that had to be done was look at her face and left arm. She would have been bruised where she was struck.

I remember seeing this on the news when it first happened. They showed the video, then lambasted the police for their brutality. I saw through it after one of the police at the scene was interviewed, he said that he has no worries whatsoever, and insisted that the news show footage from the nightclub onwards, not just the beating from police, because he has seen the full story and it's not the police that are in the wrong. The news never showed the footage, proving that she was in the wrong and deserved what she got.

I would wager that she started a fight in the nightclub, hit a few bouncers, then when caught, she becomes (predictably) a weak little woman who was racially/sexistly picked on by police.

Another thing that was never mentioned throughout this debacle, was the fact that if she had epilepsy, and apparently really bad epilepsy at that, why the hell was she drinking? Not very responsible is it?

This has nothing to do with gender, race or disability, it's all to do with one woman thinking she has the right to behave how she sees fit with no consequences.

All I know is this, if I even mouth off to the police, there's a good chance I'll get a hiding from them, I don't see why she should be any different.

The officer says she assaulted him but I can't see this from the video. It isn't uncommon for an officer accused of police brutality to say he was attacked or assaulted first. However, it is odd, don't you think, that three officers (two cops, one security guard) surround her so that you CAN'T see what is going on. It's not a coincidence, I assure you. And with the three people there to restrain and cuff her, there was no need for the officer to punch her. Not only did he do this repeatedly (which wasn't necessary in the first place), he did it with as much force as he could. It sure the hell looks to me like police brutality.

I think it's pretty fucked up, myself.

My fifteen year old daughter and I sometimes punch each other in the arms (playing around) trying to give each other what she calls a "dead arm" ...lol....and she's much smaller than I, and less strong that I, and she's "deadened" my arm a few different times...with just one punch.

The woman in the video does not look particularly big or strong, and may, in fact, have been in the midst of an epileptic fit. Even if that is not the case, the force was excessive. One blow to her arm should have sufficiently been enough. I'd argue that just holding her down (without the blows) should have been enough. There were three people present that could have restrained her together, without physical blows. And what the hell is up with her trousers being down around her knees?

Okay so videos from a blog stay in that blog's category IF it is listed on this site. But what about if one is HOSTED on this site? Does it go to that section or stay in the blog section?

What about news articles? If they get brought up in a blog but that blog just linked from the actual news source AND that blog is listed here in the BLOGs tab then they stay there?

So if someone wants to check out news artricles for the last few months they CANNOT just click on "News Articles". Instead they have to look in many other places. It would be nice if articles could be found in an articles section, videos in a video section and so forth.

And the directions typed in are different from what we are supposed to do?

It seems to me like that is potentially awkward and confusing.

I can almost guarantee you that the officer will get away with this. They effectively blocked the camera so that you can't see what the woman is doing. All we see is the officer landing on top of her, the others surround her. He can say anything happened, and chances are, the others will collaborate and agree, even if it's false. It would be interesting to hear the security guard's testimony in this case.

What I want to know is what is the motivation behind posting this video. Was it meant to highlight police brutality? Or what? I don't understand. The whole "police hit a woman" *gasp*....what's that supposed to mean? You think women can't be victims of police brutality? Or do you believe in this case the woman deserved it?

Exactly. It seems like every time "police brutality" is charged it's in cases where the suspect was resisting arrest. You may not agree with the powers that cops have, but the dumbest thing to do is give them a hard time verbally or physically.

Does alcohol cause problems for epileptics? If so you're right, she should stay on the wagon.
