UK: Are women paying for sexism laws?

    Article here. Excerpt:
'Ms Banyard says that, despite having equal pay rights enshrined in law since the 1970s, a pay gap still exists and the law is not strong enough.
"As a result, companies are not required to check that they are paying equally, so it's absolutely crucial we have mandatory pay audits," she adds.
"The Equality Bill currently going through Parliament is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to reform equal pay law we cannot afford to miss."
Yet Ms Pease has urged MPs not to wade further into the issue, as legislation now meant some employers believed hiring a woman was a "nightmare".
Long maternity leave and fears of costly discrimination action were just two of the issues Ms Pease highlighted as factors that deterred firms from taking on women.'

    better

At the end of the day, it's a calculation. I'd be a lot richer in monetary terms without Alex but a lot poorer as a person."

all about "choices" for wimyn and the exquisitely joyous feat - the mathematical juggling act that alert wimyn perform in their designing minds for trading off $$$$ for personal inner wealth that tipped in favour of Alex blah blah bleh bleah

if it doen't computein the offing for the new age gals - off to the abortion doctor for an induced birth

the baby's would be in the hospital incinerator - no fault

all about the right to choose about their body

so here Alex was weighed agin $$$$$ as are the spouses of these designing wimyn - when the calculation doesn't compute in their favour why repair to the Family Court for a nice ruling in her favour

in the end the philosophy is " its all about me" " or "fuck you Jack I'm alright"

"Paying equally"? Equality of pay should require equality of hours worked, equality of experience in the field, equality of time spent at the given company, equality of job title, and equality of performance; all of which are NOT equal between men and women.

I wonder, also, when we'll see enforced 'child-custody-case-outcome' 'audits', 'gender-healthcare-spending' 'audits', and 'divorce settlement' 'audits'.

So long as people ignore disparities in such areas as these, I'll feel more-than-justified in ignoring disparities in earnings, between the genders. I can confidently and logically explain the 'gender wage-gap' anyway, but until the 'PC Brigade' morons offer ME an explanation of the disparities in the aforementioned areas, I will play by their rules and ignore the 'gender wage-gap'.

And if they dare say that women make better parents, hence leading to more successful custody battles on the part of women, I will 'dare' say that men make better workers.

    Fair's fair....

Talk about being bitten on the bum* big time - what goes around comes around.......having cake and eating it just ain't an option. Don't you just love it? Now all we need is Harman to get to work on it and come up with a "solution" - to suit the wimmin, of course! And to the detriment of men.......naturally.

*For the benefit of Americans - that's "arse" in Britspeak.
