"Strauss-Kahn lawyers: Gender-based violence law cited in NYC hotel maid’s suit is too vague"
I thought this story was interesting. Have enough money to pay for good lawyers and they can start questioning some feminism-inspired* laws:
Strauss-Kahn lawyers: Gender-based violence law cited in NYC hotel maid’s suit is too vague - The Washington PostNEW YORK — The hotel maid suing Dominique Strauss-Kahn is invoking a gender-based violence law that’s too ambiguous, his lawyers said in asking a judge to throw out part of her sexual assault claim.

It isn't clear what that means, Strauss-Kahn's lawyers say.
* It appears but I'm no lawyer.

Is this a separate lawsuit? I thought DSK was suing the maid?

Yes, he still seems to be doing that:

Okay. I thought it might have been a counter-suit in response the DSK one.
Off Topic: I see that you are from Ireland. I've never met anyone in the MRM from this place. Would you mind starting a thread, telling us what the culture, laws, and woman are like in this country towards men? If this has already been done, please excuse this request.

Perhaps one is a counter-suit for the other? (I don't know)
I would like a thread focusing on Ireland. For one thing, I would like to know of other MRMs in Ireland. Anyone have ideas which forum/subforum it should go into? I'm not sure.
I could make a few points, but certainly don't make any promises about being thorough.

We could perhaps go further... If AnIrishGuy plans on sticking around, we could look at creating a separate sub forum for Ireland & it's people?

I imagine I'll keep posting, at least occasionally - I have been interested for over 20 years now and have done little bits of things on and off over that period (mostly letters in newspapers).
Because of the US focus of a lot of previous men's forums I occasionally went to in the past, I'm not sure if I've ever met Irish MRAs on them (can't be certain - wasn't too conscious of it), but I'm sure there were some there, lurking if nothing but perhaps even contributing (people in Ireland tend to know a bit about what happens in the US and the UK). I don't know any forums for Irish MRA/similar anywhere. I could direct some people I've bump into on boards.ie and politics.ie over to a new subforum (although I suppose I could do that anyway but have got distracted with other things).
But I don't want any responsibilities at the moment (administrator or whatever).
You may also enjoy reading the following threads, why not give them a try?
