This school's boys are loo-sing out on toilets

SOME things are best done in private.

But matters are not so simple for the male students of Shin
Kuang Junior High School in Taichung, Taiwan.

Their school building is sorely lacking in toilet cubicles in the
boys' toilets.

There are only 25 toilet cubicles for the school's 1,300 male
students. This means that each toilet cubicle has to be shared
among 52 boys, reported Apple Daily.

There are sufficient urinals, however, with eight urinals and one toilet cubicle per male toilet.

When the toilet gets crowded during breaks, some boys have been unable to wait for their turn in the cubicle.

Out of desperation, the boys, aged 13 to 15, have used the urinals for a bodily function that the fixtures were not meant for.

The school's head of operations, Mr Wu Zheng Hong, confirmed that a couple of months ago, a student had been "unable to hold it in" and had used the urinal instead of waiting for the toilet cubicle.

Mr Wu admitted that as each male toilet only has one cubicle, "it's not too convenient if more than two students want to pass motion".

He said the school had wanted to build additional toilet facilities, but it did not have the estimated 2 million yuan ($407,000) needed for the renovations.

One student, whose surname is Chen, said: "I usually try to control myself and wait till I go home."

Another student revealed: "Sometimes if someone is using the cubicle, I sneak into the girls' toilet to do my business.

"Luckily, I've not been spotted so far."

A spokesman for Taiwan's Ministry of Education said its rules call for one cubicle per 50 male students and one urinal for every 30 students.

"We will have to look into whether there is a need to increase the toilet facilities at older school campuses," he said.

A spokesman for The Humanistic Education Foundation urged schools to consider both the number of students enrolled as well as their timetables.

"If we use the ministry's guideline of 50 boys to one toilet cubicle, and there is only 10 minutes between classes, does that mean only two boys can pass motion during their break?"

A simple short term solution would be to stagger the break times, or a least hire a few portaloo's

Ok, my high-school had even less cubicles per student and since we didn't respect the girl's bathroom and boy's bathroom thing, that is irrelevant. But again, everyone was doing their needs before coming to school and rarely using the toilets. I think I used the toilet like 20-30 times in 4 years of high-school.

By the way, the bathrooms were equally crappy. This problem is something related to central planning and it's inefficiency more than misandry. And by the way, it needs fixing. :P

Man that really sucks!

It reminds me of when I was in high school!

Some of the stalls didn't have any doors to cover you when you had to pitch a loaf!
When ever I had to use the restroom I leave class and trek to the school library!

Have you never heard of the "Potty Parity" laws?

In Weimar Kalifornia and other sites of extraordinary enlightenment there are demands for laws to provide Extra Restroom Facilities for Womyn Only...

The stated justification - Womyn wear more clothes and use more makeup so they need the extras.

Ahem.

BTW - Just where Steroid Dykes pretending to be male fit in to this was not made clear, but apparently like the 900 pound purple gorilla - Fat Dykes go wherever they want.

We only have about 5 toilets in the female employee bathroom at my workplace, one stall has a water problem, and another had a bad door.

Don't ask me about the male employee bathroom, since I don't know if it's any better

Here some of the crappy dorms have mixed gender bathrooms and the bathrooms include showers. Some showers don't have doors or shower heads(just the pipe thing). I think I'd shower with my swimsuit on. lol

You can imagine how pleasantly impressed parents are when they see where their sweet daughters will shower.

What does makeup have to do with how much bathroom space women have? They can use compacts and do their makeup anywhere!

I know someone who went to a military college that was co-ed. The students were in mixed gender platoons, with about 25 guys and 5 girls. The problem was, both groups got the same amount of bathroom space and time: meaning 25 guys had to share about 4 showers and had to take 30-second showers while the girls were able to take their time. Celebrate "equality"!

Do you mean at state universities? Do you mean that guys and girls use the showers AT the same time or that they have the same amount of time in their respective bathrooms?

Each shower is separated by the other shower by a wall. Just like the cubicles, it's just that they have no doors anymore. It's basically a line of showers, a line of sinks and a line of toilets, the showers and toilets being in cubicle thingies. And you go when you wish, regardless of your gender. lol.

This is actually a wonderful opportunity for a bit of decisive activism, if only those boys could be galvanised into it.

They should organise a protest against the sex discrimination they are suffering, by defecating in all kinds of places that the authorities who are responsible for this debacle, would find most - er - uncomfortable. Like outside the principal's door. Or, if they can get inside, on his (or her) desk. Or on the steps of the Ministry of Education. Maybe some lovingly produced and carefully wrapped parcels could find their way to the homes of finance and education ministers.

After all, dirty people with dirty policies and dirty attitudes towards boys are richly deserving of some dirty retaliation. If they insist on treating boys like shit, then boys are perfectly justified in responding in kind.

That reminds me of something that some friends of mine did down in Arizona, where the illegal alien border problem is out of control. One of their politicians is particularly pro-invasion and thus has incurred their wrath. One of the many things they do is clean up the lay-up areas, areas where the illegals "lay-up" with their smugglers on the American side of the border and wait for their transportation. These areas are covered with clothes, shoes, backpacks, blankets, food and beverage containers, medication (which can poison animals), etc.

Well, the politician declared that they could not do this as they were "contaminating a crime scene"; however, at the same time, he would do nothing to help these Americans whose property was being damaged, etc.

Their solution? The packed up the garbage and dumped it in front of his office door. His choices: 1) Charge them with littering and contaminating a crime scene and have to admit that there was a border problem or 2) do nothing. He did nothing. The irony is, a while later, some border jumpers broke into his house, used his shower, ate his food and took his clothes.
