When i deregisterd as self employed and went part time employed the first thing i did was to check the facts on ni contributions ..... so they either dont care or cant be arsed to find out, so tough shit. the voluntary contributions are were only £11. per month if i remember right.

What is not mentioned,the reason most Women work only part-time the last few year's is that they have been moved of single parent benefit and moved on to Family tax credit's,so if a single mum works 12 hour's and earn's £90 per week she will recieve £500 a month from the goverment,plus £80 per month child benefit and reduced rent and community charge (property tax) up to 70%,now they want to recieve a full pension paid by every one else when they have never paid any tax and have lived a fully parasitical life,they are better off than someone who has worked all his life and paid full tax and NI(SS) and if this person is a man, he has to work 5 year's longer for his pension.

Ok so we have two possible solutions here:

Either people who work part time jobs take up full time work, or the government re-distributes money made by full time workers and gives it to part time workers. Hmmmmmmmmm, I wonder which one they will choose.

There are only so many full time jobs and not enough for everyone. So how do we deal with this? A government safety net is easily abused (mostly by women who don't mind living off of others) but it is necessary.
