Thread: Obama socialism

Obama is following a anti-freedom pattern that is frighteningly similar with the UK coalition party stance and I'm wondering who will actually defend our hard won freedoms, warts and all?

It's easy to spew the predictable rhetoric, but what politicians will go the extra mile and win the hearts of it's constituents?

I've invested much in history and I've concluded, like marriage, politics is a rigged game! Where does an awakened man go from this?

I hear you Buddy. Despite what many say about the stripping of American rights, I'd love to have an option whereby I can buy expansive tracts of land and the right to bare arms. We Brits are so much more constrained in terms of our basic rights and general geographical freedoms.

With a remote spread of land, a bright captivating universe that illuminates a dark night and no cumbersome neighbours for miles, it gives reason for patriots to rightly protect such an arrangement. That modern humans are stacked upon one another like cattle is a recent historical trend and we're observing the horrendous criminal outcomes of such a failed social experiment.

To me, a recluse who lives in the middle of nowhere, is a richer man than the banker who busts his fraudulent balls to attain an overpriced rabbit hutch in the noisy city! How much of the 'individual' is lost when you become a mindless cog in the economic machine? Isn't this how political mechanisms find it so easy to tap into an unthinking city populace? I bet you don't need a study to prove country folk are more difficult to persuade politically?

I do envy you Sam, the ability to set my bulbous inquiring mind beneath a cosmic pantheon and attempt to set the world to rights as a beginning.
