Thread: New Mens Centre (We hope)

Great news Mike. What the MRM needs is a few good and wealthy men to step up and cough up.

Short term accomodation could be useful for some guys in hardship, but many, many more need outreach and training programs. I hope the new Men's Centre takes the chaps into the hills to do a bit of Robert Bly bonding for a morning, and in the afternoon and evening some armed combat skills, feminazi identification and personal research skills, and psychological warfare techniques.

Better make it a three day program.

Maybe some part of the budget could go on surveillance equipment and techniques.

A good part-time lawyer (ugh) a good researcher and a good publicist would be useful too. And an internet designer.

And purple paint and superglue, spiderman outfits, rope, banners, .......

True, but such men are difficult to find - maybe possible only if these men are single/divorced and retired...living overseas...or out of anonymity...

The message is getting out for us men somewhat differently ...it is not PC like it is for a women shelter...

A Men's Refuge is a great project, but the most important point is prevention. -
If men learn to be careful about the law and learn to avoid legal traps with females...

My Station Officer at the time told me he probably would have done the same thing, given the circumstances.

You are used to putting fires out, that someone else has started. Good guys stop things and clear up.

Not all men are capable. Not all men survive the onslaught of cops and courts and lawyers all kicking him when he is down. Yes, some chaps do take a lot and reach their limit. They give up. They suicide.

Victim is a word with a meaning and it is applicable to anyone truely treated as a unwanted dog and constantly mistreated. Men are not immune to being victimised. The feminazis have stolen enough friggin' words without us having to throw then in their direction as unwanted.

There are some men made victims every day. We don't have to encourage it and no one is suggesting that we do.

I have to agree with you about the name, using the word REFUGE, makes it some sort of a PC hell-hole.
We may go with a name like "The ("Insert Name") Trust Centre.
The old place in Timaru was called the Mens Refuge and look what bloody happened?
I will state one thing though, when I was divorced in 1995, there was NO support for guys like me, other side of the coin, women could run to any governmental agency they liked and got real help, even cash up front.
What's wrong with that picture?.
The fact of the matter is, is that men will always be worse off after a divorce, I'm trying to make a thing like this happen, I have our local MP (who is a woman) on side although I'm not sure how genuine she is.
What-ever, I have the funding now for this to go ahead all we need now is for the plans to be drawn up and registered with the Council.
I'll keep you folks posted as to progress.
