I stumbled upon this story and wondered just how many female serial killers there are if you count the serial murders of children?

The preconception of serial killers is of men predominantly (apart from maybe Aileen Wuornos), but I suspect women would target more adults if they weren't at a size and strength disadvantage generally.

Unlike male serial killers, it seems women don't have far to go in finding their victims. The horrors are perpetrated 'inhouse' as it were.

Mother 'killed her six babies and hid bodies in the cellar'

A mother appeared in court today accused of murdering six of her newborn children in as many years and hiding their tiny corpses in a cellar.

In one of the worst infanticide cases in history, 38-year-old Celine Lesage faces life in prison for 'aggravated homicide'.

She is said to have strangled two of her children with a cord and choked four others by placing her finger in their mouths.

Each of the babies had been delivered 'in secret' between August 2000 and September 2007, with Lesage 'putting the babies and their dirty clothes neatly in a sealed plastic bag and hiding them', according to Cherbourg prosecutor Michel Garrandaux.

He told the court: 'Her attitude was wholly ambivalent. On the one hand she expressed her desire to have children, and then she refused to keep them.'

He said Lesage - a 'modest and otherwise ordinary housewife' who has as surviving son aged 14 - had 'no idea' why she had effectively turned into a serial killer.

Mr Garrandaux told La Manche Azzizes Court, in Cherbourg, it was the court's job to 'try to understand you, before judging you'.

Lesage spoke only to confirm her name on the first day of the trial.

Among those in the public gallery was Pascal Catherine, her 39-year-old former boyfriend who fathered the first five murdered children.

He was originally arrested for not reporting a crime and hiding the corpses, before his lawyers successfully argued he had thought the babies had been still born or had been aborted.

Lesage and Mr Catherine split up in the spring of 2006 after 15 years living as common law man and wife.

Her horrific secret was uncovered a year later, on October 19, 2007, when a new boyfriend was taken to the decaying corpses by Lesage's teenage son.

Mr Garrandaux said: 'He was led to the cellar by the terrible smell of decomposing corpses and found them wrapped up in their bags.'

The second boyfriend, whose identity has not been released, later found his own baby son - the sixth murder victim - in a dustbin in the family home in Valognes.

Gendarmes were called and Lesage admitted killing all her newborn children, but claimed diminished responsibility.

She told police that she had 'absolutely no explanation' for what she had done and was placed on remand in the nearby city of Caen, Normandy.

Veronique Carre, defending, said: 'The facts of the case are not in dispute, but there is medical and psychological evidence to consider.

'My client believes she is responsible, but not guilty.'

Last year, another French mother Veronique Courjault was jailed for eight years for killing three babies.

She was deemed to be suffering from severe psychological problems, which meant she was in denial about being pregnant.

The trial continues.

i wonder how hard it will be for man haters to admit that the children would have been most certainly treated better had they lived with their fathers?

it takes a real sick individual to kill 6 babies, it takes a real moron to claim responsibility...and then deny guilt? i wonder what new laws will be written up to accommodate this piece of shit.

Well, it is a known and proven fact that children and babies are mostly abused by their mothers instead of their fathers. Despite that everywhere in the news there are always plenty of story about evil fathers.

Fatherhood means nothing but being an abuser and oppresor nowadays considering how demonized fatherhood is...

This makes her many times worse than Fritzl. But you won't see the world's media leaping on the case and publicising it for all they are worth, or female yak artists spouting on about how these murders exemplify the intrinsic evil that lurks deep within the female sex. No sirree.

Instead the case will proceed quietly with the world's media looking the other way and quickly finding something new to talk about. And you can immediately see how this woman will never be held responsible and punished. Even the prosecutor says "it was the court's job to try to understand you, before judging you'. That's right: he's the PROSECUTOR but he is already on her side and looking for ways to ensure she does not get punished. We all know exactly what that means. Those dead babies will have no champion or advocate; their deaths will be glossed over, excused and minimised, because they had the dire misfortune to be killed by a woman. The pussy pass will continue its triumphant unchallenged rule in the law courts of the world, and any female criminal will get understanding, forgiveness and help. Because possession of a vagina renders you incapable of evil no matter what your actions.

Even murdering babies, surely the most hideous evil imaginable.

Which of course is why future generations of babies will continue to be murdered by women; because no authority will do anything to deter them, and women will continue to get a very clear message that their sex excuses anything and everything.

It's awful, just bloody awful.

eventually when the police are called for anything, they will simply handcuff anyone there, then out comes the nude body scanner...
"if you are a woman you will be released! after which we will begin the true investigation"

which is btw, the real reason we have those things...so when the male holocaust comes, we cant try to pass off as women to escape the sLAUGHTER.

I can't recall the sheer number of cases (worldwide) regarding women physically abusing children or/and murdering them - where the judge unbelievably proclaims that the murdering woman has "suffered enough" and is subsequently released. It's the most vulgar and sickening display of the pussy pass one can witness.

As I've said before, if children can't get justice after being beaten or murdered by women (albeit posthumously), what chance have men?

And feminists have the audacity to claim women are second-class citizens?

Because she turned on the waterworks at all the right moments, she's "suffered enough"?! After KILLING FOUR CHILDREN, and no punishment, she's "suffered enough"?!
