I am referring to those who can't contain themselves - not women generally. Unlike feminists, I won't classify *all* women based on the excuses & abuses of a few.

The most offensive thing you can do to a feminist is treat her with FULL equality.
Wife : "I dreamt they were auctioning off dicks. The big ones went for ten dollars and the thick ones went for twenty dollars."
Husband : "How about the ones like mine?"
Wife : "Those they gave away."
Husband : "I had a dream too...I dreamt they were auctioning off pussy. The pretty ones went for a thousand dollars, and the little tight ones went for two thousand."
Wife : "And how much for the ones like mine?"
Husband : "That's where they held the auction."

I agree, i say the ones who DO use it as a get out clause shoud be forced into treatment to prevent it.

Sorry guys, i`m just back on forum and started world war 3!!!! Look at it another way, it`s good to get a healthy debate going and read all the different opinions on what is a very serious topic.

Yep, that's a bunch of crap. Emotional or not, it's no excuse for violent behavior. PMS does not give one cart blanche to behave abominably.
True. Still this is one more disadvantage and relationship inequality men have to face on top of the hundreds of others.

Probably one reason men are considered to be easier to deal with and live with.

One thing I´d like to add. PMS is no excuse for treating anyone like shit.

Well, if you want to get technical, the chemical imbalances are controlling their minds. Any emotion or mood or anything is a result of a chemical state in the brain. I'll also point out that men also have 'cycles' of testosterone. We experiences mood-swings, periods of depression and periods of high virility.

This is bs. So then why are generally women harder to deal with?

Because women are physically and mentally weaker than men and are unstable creatures!
Ask Satan his knows, why do you think he chose to deceive eve?
Satan knew that Adam wasn't stupid!!
Women are our partners and our weakness!

Actually, you might think it's funny but it's not such a bad idea.

For my ex-boyfriend (when we were still together), I created an Excel spreadsheet that indicated not only the "start date" of my next menstrual period, but showed a graph of the four day period BEFORE the period...the time when PMS (and all of it's related conditions) were likely to be at their peak...thereby giving full warning.

Seemed like a good idea at the time. I know how emotional I get, and how combative I am during that time, and it's been my experience that no one can "tell" me I'm acting irrationally when I'm irrational. It doesn't go over very well. Best then, to avoid me completely during that four day period. The chart was as much for my own reference as it was for his...I knew then when I should retreat ...isolate myself, for his own good and for mine.

Seem extreme? It is. But effective. I don't want to take medications for my hormonally induced depressions. The extreme depression (and physical symptoms that accompany it) resolves itself within a few days.
    dear tera !

I recall my ex gf of 30 years ago used to take a product called lasix which apparantly accelerated the elimination of excess fluids in the body of women going through the "monthly"

she said it helped her but I figure sometimes she forgot to take it

There are medications...anti-depressants for the most extreme cases. Most people don't fall into the category of "extreme cases." I do. And I protect my significant others by staying away from them as much as possible. (I don't want to take anti-depressants.) I don't want my blue moods, extreme emotional sensitivity, and irritability to create misery for others. It's not that hard to stay silent. Yes, I have to go to work, have to go to school, even on days when I am most affected by my hormones...and on those days I get tears in my eyes sometimes...just hearing a sad story. I'm tired, and I try to act like nothing's bothering me but it's hard to cover up. Some people can tell there's something wrong.

That's actually a good attitude. Its your problem and you find the solution instead of expecting the man to. As you said you retreat instead of making the man retreat.

Re: Men avoid the wrath of women with free 'time of the month' reminders

I don't know about anyone else in this thread, but I taught my girls how to be women, not females. They already know how to moderate their emotions when their time is upon them, so that they do not also fall upon those around them. To claim time-of-the-month special privileges wreaks of victim status, which is feminism. It is also irresponsible, and crudely self-serving. We don't want to know what that smell is, really. Keep your hormones to yourself, as you ask men to keep their leers to themselves. Or else.

I reject any claim to perks or justification for wrongdoing in the name of their body's monthly visit to Japan.
