    Re: Marriage strike?

I am just surprised that the report failed to add some snide, disparaging comment to the statistic, along the lines of men "failing to grow up" or "running away from commitment". This is on the BBC site, after all.

Exactly, if a woman wants a flat she just goes up the duff and...... hey presto.

No, it isn't at all Paul.
Women can live with their parents and it it is called "elder care" whatever that is.
No, men have to have their own houses otherwise they are deemed losers by the popular feminist media.

A women will not seek any man unless he has his own place, she can't take him for a financial ride if that one thing is not there.
    How screwed up is that?

What the media does not recognise is the fact that some men do want to go their own way and not be financially raped by some shrew that might seem good in the out-set but turns into a whining, money hungry princess who expects him to pay and pay and pay to uphold her extravagent life-style of sitting on the couch and meeting with her friends over coffee and yet the pots are cold (if they are even taken out of the cupboard).

Have a kid and the stakes get nastily placed against men.
    What a frigging nightmare!

If you can tame him and take good care of him, he shouldn't cloud your mind much.

    Re: Marriage strike?

Would say the marriage strike is definitely in place. I split up with my previous girlfriend( who had children by a previous partner) because I wouldn't marry her as I knew that if things went wrong she'd get about 2/3 of the 1/3 of MY assets that I retained after my last divorce. I dated someone I met on line & was regaled with how she had managed to stitch up her ex husband financially. Won't be in a rush to return any of HER calls. IS anyone SURPRISED that there's a marriage strike- sheesh!
