Man survives 5 storey fall, twice!!

A Russian man survived after downing three bottles of vodka and leaping
from a fifth floor balcony - twice.

Alexei Roskov says he jumped the second time because he couldn't take
his wife's nagging about the first time.

Wife Yekaterina had watched in horror as her drunken hubsand opened the
kitchen window of their Moscow apartment, and hurled himself out.

Astonishingly Mr Roskov, 22, survived and managed to stagger back
upstairs with barely a scratch after the 50ft fall.

But while his wife called for an ambulance and began to scold him, he
jumped again.

Amazed medics treated Mr Roskov for minor cuts and bruises before
releasing him.

Mr Roskov says he is now teetotal after giving up drinking, and added:
"Now I can say just one thing - I was very lucky.

"I have no idea why I jumped the first time but when I came back up and
I heard my wife screaming angrily at me I thought it was best if I left
the room again - out of the window."

3 bottles of vodka, eh?
She must have really been a hard person to live with.

Surely just moving out and divorcing the nasty nag would have been simpler?

Sounds like he took the 'simple' option... divorcing would take staggeringly longer to do, and aside from the obvious risk of life itself, divorcing would be incredibly more hostile to him.

Blame the wife for his drunken state, blame the wife for his dangerous (and stupid) behavior. Yep...it's all her fault. The three bottles of vodka couldn't possibly have impaired his judgment.

A nagging wife couldn't possibly have encouraged his drinking either.

22 is way too early to be married. That's the problem with the world today. People marry too young, and they wonder why their marriages fall apart. It's because they're young, idealistic, and naive little children. I'm 25 and I still haven't been in a long serious relationship. I got my whole life ahead of me, I'm not going to throw it away, by wasting it on one woman.

Yeah, they do have a dark sense of humour and irony/sarcasm. You are probably right, it's a mistranslated joke.
