Lee Aronsohn 'Rebuked' Over Joke About Women

Lee Aronsohn, a co-creator and executive producer of Two & a Half Men, made a comment suggesting that there were too many television comedies focusing on women.

'Two and a Half Men' Co-Creator Is Rebuked For Remarks About Women - NYTimes.com

Maybe he was joking, maybe not, but the disproportionate vitriol with which any criticism of women is met raises the question, why are they so sensitive to such criticism? Is it the same sort of fragility that makes it dangerous for me to suggest that my partner's new dress doesn't suit her?

Truth is the most lethal enemy to ego. For a man to say more shows need to be focused on men and to have so much vitriol thrown at him shows how thin skinned our foes really are.

The apes will pout and scream whenever any man works up the stones to tell the truth. I don't believe his joke was misogynist and the apes that squealed at him, need to shut up!

I think we need to know who our foes really are and know which are foes because they know no better and which are foes because they don't care about justice.

He only made a light jab and was attacked that harshly. That is just not right. However, I would like to see a movie or series made with a man who is a man and shows strength and power like only a man has, and women who are womanly.

Re: Lee Aronsohn 'Rebuked' Over Joke About Women

Hey, I say, in this day and age, if doing or saying something really upsets women, then we should do it and say it all the more.

In his speech at the Toronto conference, Mr. Aronsohn had suggested that women were to blame for the problems of the main characters on “Two and a Half Men.” “We’re centering the show on two very damaged men,” he said in the address. “What makes men damaged? Sorry, it’s women. I never got my heart broken by a man.”
I love the show 2.5 Men, even without Charlie Sheen. I didn't like the idea of Asstown Kitschner replacing Charlie, but, honestly, it's still a good show, though it would be more appropriately called "3 Half-Men", as the 3 main male characters are imbeciles. All the women are domineering, nasty, hypocritical, conniving, gold-digging bitches. Any man with even the inkling of an idea of marrying should be strapped to a chair and forced to watch every episode of that show. It's the greatest comedic cure for the idea of becoming a manslave through marriage.

Women demand honesty from men and insist that we share our feelings. Then when we do, they go nuts and claim victim status. What they really want is for men to peruse the "international pre-approved, women's menu of feelings and comments for men to share with vagina possessors" and just read a script. How many TV shows and movies have some schmuck grovel before his "queen" and babbling out the line, "I'm an asshole. I messed up"? If I never hear those stock lines again as long as I live, I will die a happy man. Any actor to utters those lines is a sell out, a whore, and a mangina.

The death of women in childbirth hurts the men they leave behind more than the women who die.

Domestic Violence isn't funny...unless men are the victims.

You know what else? Even if you do something and you're genuinely sorry for it do you notice that women NEVER forgive? They always hold stuff you do against you in the future.

We should remember that so that when things crash we don't forget how misandric women were when things were well (from their point of view). People will be measured by the same standard they use to measure others with.

Re: Lee Aronsohn 'Rebuked' Over Joke About Women

I read the story earlier in the day and responded on a British (Daily Mail) forum Outrage as Two and a Half Men creator says women-centric television has peaked | Mail Online (to which I was forced to politically correct my input 5 times before it was allowed): Ah, 'outrage' one of 3 emotive prefixes feminists use (anger, outrage & violated) to hyperbolically bolster a non-story.

Two and a Half Men is one show, feebly attempting to counterbalance against a tsunami of male-bashing & gynocentric programming.

It seems whenever a show doesn't portray women as feisty, competent, superior, intelligent & forever putting stupid & lowly men in their place, then it gets hysterically labelled 'misogynistic.'

Male viewers are beset with an oestrogen overdose, yet the domineering harpies begrudge a tiny amount of programming being allocated to men? Sheen's character is more Homer Simpson than Homer of the Odyssey.

The show doesn't remotely resemble the sexist and chauvinistic bilge which much of Hollywood churns out as female empowered entertainment.

Mr Aronsohn is justified in speaking out against the pervading anti-male culture, but I'd contend he wasn't scathing enough & his big mistake was to capitulate & apologise to the well-rehearsed 'outrage.'

There's also a 1000 character limit (hence my condensing of words), to which I find plenty in dispatching enemies and feminists which are regularly slain by me!

Do you think that feminist minded women are the norm (majority or large minority)?

Pretty damn close to the norm if not the majority. The hatred disguised as righteous indignation against men and the "patriarchy" is just too seductive for a lot of women. It is so easy to hate and be intolerant. It is difficult to remain open minded and yet have an opinion that goes counter to what the status quo sets forth. I've known a lot of men and women from many different races who are very educated and consider themselves to be scholarly or worldly, but the truth is a lot of them hold a very parochial and limited view of the world around them. Women especially seem to be affected by mass media propaganda, the odd sound byte calling a man, celebrity, or politician a misogynistic pig.

On the other hand I have been seeing men slowly realizing that their "place" in civil society has been eroded, and is being eroded by the constant barrage of psuedo-science and mass media propaganda which of course benefits feminists and their supporters.

A slow awakening is taking place. Take a look at what the SPLC did with trying to demonize the MRM, they confirmed my view that the MRM has begun to worry a lot of women and those in power because of the small advances made on behalf of fathers rights, and the non-renewal of VAWA. There are concerns that men are beginning to reclaim their masculinity in direct opposition to the feminists who have been working so hard to change the view of masculinity as something to be ashamed of rather than celebrated.

The Boy Crisis has been slowly gathering steam and is now being discussed in academic circles and even in local school board politics. The numbers and research done by the US Department of Education, colleges, and education special interest groups paint a rather damning picture of how boys are being left behind in the girls first, progressive educational policies. Feminists are doing their very best at trying to spin the numbers and research, but apparently trying to change vetted peer reviewed research is a difficult task because some folks in education still have morals and the ability to call a big smelly pile of excrement exactly what it is.

The issue feminists face is that B.S. is B.S. no matter how much Glade air freshener you spray on it.

    Warning: Sarcasm ahead!

I think a fitting punishment for Mr. Aronsohn is for him to parade around in high heels while making a Youtube video encouraging the worship of women and of feminine energy. Oh, and make him wear a pregnancy pack too.

    /sarcasm off
Contrary to what some feminists say, male violence is not "acceptable", "sanctioned" or "institutionalized" behavior. The fact that it is even considered criminal is proof of that.

Nice to see how such a weak, underprivileged, and oppressed class of people have been able to control the expression of a popular TV series' co-creator. If I didn't have feminists constantly reminding me of how powerless they are, I'd have sworn that bringing such punishment upon any who displease them, regardless of the position of the offender, show a lot of power.
