Prosecutorial misconduct

The Supreme Court of Georgia has twice commented on Grace's conduct as a prosecutor. First, in a 1994 heroin drug trafficking case, Bell v. State, the Court declared a mistrial, saying that Grace had "exceeded the wide latitude of closing argument" by drawing comparisons to unrelated murder and rape cases.^[8]
In 1997, the court was more severe, overturning the murder-arson conviction of businessman W. W. Carr in the death of his wife. While the court said its reversal was not due to these transgressions, since the case had turned primarily on circumstantial evidence, it nevertheless concluded "the conduct of the prosecuting attorney in this case demonstrated her disregard of the notions of due process and fairness, and was inexcusable."^[9] Carr was freed in 2004 when The Georgia Supreme Court ruled unanimously that Fulton County had waited too long to retry him, thereby unfairly prejudicing his right to a fair trial.^[10]
Despite upholding the conviction she sought, a panel of the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals wrote in a 2005 opinion that Grace "played fast and loose" with her ethical duties and failed to "fulfill her responsibilities" as a prosecutor in the 1990 triple murder trial of Herbert Connell Stephens.^[11] The court agreed that it was "difficult to conclude that Grace did not knowingly use ... [apparently false] testimony" from a detective that there were no other suspects, despite the existence of outstanding arrest warrants for other men.^[11]

I'd say what she did in the case of the 'vodka woman' was her best ever. (f***up)

I don't think it's ever cause for celebration when someone commits suicide. The chosen topic is downright sick. She didn't murder the kid.. Murder is intentional. She killed the child, yes, but not murdered.

Toni Medrano did a horrible thing: she got drunk, passed out, and ended up smothering her newborn son. She faced two counts of manslaughter in the death of three-week-old Adrian. But Medrano's case will not be going to trial — on July 2, she doused herself in a flammable liquid and set herself on fire.

According to Medrano's mother, her daughter's depression was largely due to a segment on Nancy Grace's HLN show, in which she dubbed Medrano "Vodka Mom."

She was trying to build and get by and live with what happened. When she saw that, it broke her spirit in the worst way.

In the segment, Grace demonstrated how much Medrano had been drinking, and then suggested she be charged with murder instead of manslaughter. "Did Mommy booze it up and kill her baby?" Grace demanded.

Now, there's no denying the heinousness of what Medrano did to her baby, but Grace's coverage brought more public attention to a deeply troubled person.

And this isn't the first time Nancy Grace's evisceration of a person led to a suicide. In 2006, she grilled Melinda Duckett about the disappearance of her son, implying that the mother had not done enough. Duckett later shot herself in the head.

Medrano's story is sad all around, but Grace's self-appointed role as judge, jury, and executioner didn't do anything to help the situation. Legally, of course, Grace is not culpable. County Attorney Pete Orput made it clear that it was Medrano's own decision to set herself on fire.

That's at least the second person that Nancy Graceless has driven to suicide. Its the second suicide that has been publicly reported. There are probably more. Nancy Graceless is an evil attack bitch with a major media forum to spew hate.

Driving someone to suicide is a worse crime than just killing them outright because they suffer a lot more before they die.

Actually,a few year's ago I believe there were warning's about sleeping with babies and the potential for injury or death.

I am pretty sure those warning's were in Canada?

Nancy Grace is a beached whale who doesn't deserve anybody's thanks!
During the Duke rape case, she was the media stooge who screamed the loudest and practically called for the blood of the student suspects regardless of if they were proven guilty or not.

while I agree what she did was wrong and disgusting, I wish for no one to kill themselves. Suicide is a serious matter(something I've had a struggle with myself) and no one should ever celebrate that, even if they are your worst enemy.

Indeed, I wouldn't even wish for Nancy Grace to suicide. I do wish she would get off of TV.

Sad, useless, pointless people. A burden on society, on their friends and family, on themselves. There's no good side to this story.
