With the sexualisation of young girls these days, is it any wonder that so many are leaving school with no real qualifications apart from a vagina with which to pop out babies.

Well, I have a question then. My granny was married at 15 and started having children at 16. She had 11 kids and was married 53 years before she passed away. Never went to school past the 7th grade. My mama was her youngest child. My grandaddy worked his whole life to take care of her and their children (and some of the grandchildren). There was no welfare payments or anything, just workin til things could be paid.

Now, I don't really think havin babies at a young age is anything new nor is ever gonna change. (but 14 is too young! Especially 14 AND single....)

What I'd like to know is this....... if we remove the state support from the equation, does that mean more girls who get married and start famillies young end up staying with their husbands? Or would you rather women wait til they can support themselves and their babies on their own, say.... after college and being established in their carreers? That would be like, age 35 or so? Older mothers means fewer babies.

If you took welfare (and child support and alimony) away entirely, personally I think it would reduce the divorce rate dramatically. Mothers would NEED fathers/husbands to financially support them and the children.

So, which is worse/better? Young, single mothers who are on welfare and don't live with nor depend on the fathers, older mothers who can do it all themselves with no help b/c they have been educated and have jobs, or married mothers who depend on their husbands to support them?

Either way, how ridiculous to advocate that girls become mothers when they don't have even a basic understanding of how hard it is to make it in the world. You've got to have SOMEBODY there to help you out/ be supportive, it's supposed to be the father you have chosen to have children with in the first darn place. But girls aren't taught that nowadays. Just get his sperm and move on I guess. Then if he has any money, come back for that between welfare payments. Supposed to be a "we" thing, not a "me" thing.

There is a LOT more to being a parent than just looking after a kid.
I'm not a parent myself, but I have looked after my sisters kids before, it is not as easy as it sounds.
You can't leave your kids to go get on Facebook, just because you would like to, having kids is a 150% commitment of your time.
Unfortunately, this is where a lot of single mothers find out the hard way, where they have more or less blocked out access of the father to the kids, she has no help bringing them up.
Her own fault and that of the Feminist welfare system.
Broken homes all round.

Oh I agree with you Mike! My mama was teaching all of us girls how to cook the minute we were coordinated enough to hold a spoon. She has a cousin in town who don't know anything about homemaking at alll, and she used to LOVE for me and my sisters to come over, even when we were little ones still, because we could make better food than she could!

I also wish sewing was still something women knew how to do. When I quilt, I end up doing it with old ladies b/c almost noone my age knows how to do it. Or has any interest in it.

Everybodys been given a job to do, seems like nobody remembers how to do it anymore.

Hannah, single motherhood is bad, even if the woman can afford the child. It's not a normal way in which you can raise an adapted functional human being. So if you take welfare away, women should marry if they want children, not only because they need the father to pay for it, but because the child needs their father. Needing a husband to have a family isn't anything bad, a family without a husband isn't really a family if you ask me. I would do this:
1)Do away with welfare
2)Do away with no fault divorce
3)Who has the fault in the divorce pays and the other gets full custody. So if a woman marries a man and has his children and raises them and he cheats on her and she divorces because of it, she will get the children and he will have to maintain her ass. If she cheats on him, he should be able to throw her out and keep the kids. Same with abuse or whatever(real, not feminist make believe).
4)I would do away with child support for unmarried women. If you get knocked up and you're not married, he doesn't have to help you raise your child. It's about time that we end this stupid non-marriage thing.
5)I would make $10,000 an year tax deductible for each child a couple has, combined with the average public schools cost per pupil deductible for each child that gets homeschooled. This means that a man making $250,000 an year that has a wife and ten children would pay no tax. This is how things were when your grandmother had eleven children, by the way.

Or let's try to have kids when I will be 35 and count my last eggs paradigm. Sure, marrying a child is stupid, but so is having children in your late 30s. And the age of consent should be the same as the age at which parents can kick a child out of the house. If it is 14, I should be able to kick my 14 years old daughter out for being a slag. If you want to know another stuff that's not normal - like marrying a child, is old dudes with boners due to drugs or 50 years old women having children due to fertility treatments.
