Unemployed Men Undesirable To Women, "It's Just Lunch" Survey Finds
It's not unusual for people looking for a relationship to keep a mental checklist of qualities they absolutely require in a a partner. But a recent survey by the dating service "It's Just Lunch" found that there's one box in particular that straight women want checked: they want the men they date to have jobs.
Of the 925 single women surveyed, 75 percent said they'd have a problem with dating someone without a job. Only 4 percent of respondents asked whether they would go out with an unemployed man answered "of course."
"Not having a job will definitely make it harder for men to date someone they don't already know," Irene LaCota, a spokesperson for It's Just Lunch, said in a press release. "This is the rare area, compared to other topics we've done surveys on, where women's old-fashioned beliefs about sex roles seem to apply."
Or is it?
The women interviewed for the press release didn't mention anything about conforming to traditional gender roles when asked to explain the results. Instead, they said they were concerned that they might end up having to support an unemployed man. They also said they didn't want their own activities to be limited by someone else's job status and potential financial limitations.I am a non-secular humanist. That means

Re: A fundamental flaw in womankind: Men support unemployed women, but women don't want unemployed men.
Men are in fact MORALLY SUPERIOR to women... here is why.
As if losing your job doesn't suck enough, a recent survey conducted by online dating site It's Just Lunch found that 75 percent of women wouldn't even go on a date with an unemployed man. Well, 42 percent of women would consider it. But 33 percent said there was no chance, while the other 25 percent said they would go on a date with a jobless guy.
"Not having a job will definitely make it harder for men to date someone they don't already know," says Irene LaCota of It's Just Lunch. "This is the rare area, compared to other topics we've done surveys on, where women's old-fashioned beliefs about sex roles seem to apply."
I know this sounds a bit superficial — like we need a man to have a job so they can shower us with gifts and take us on dates. But I think whether he can hold down a job tells us more about a man than his net worth. It is a sign that he's responsible, ambitious and has goals in life. In today's economy, it's not unusual for people to be out of work or between jobs, but even a man working a non-ideal part-time job while looking for and applying for work in his field is sexier than one who is content with living off mommy and daddy's hard-earned cash.
Men, on the other hand, are much more accepting of unemployed women. Nearly two-thirds of men said they would have no problem going on a date with a woman who doesn't have a job, while only 8 percent said they would absolutely rule it out.I am a non-secular humanist. That means

Women are stupid.. They may PREFER men to have a job.. But they also very much PREFER men who can be at their beck and call 24/7 which is not what a working man can be..
So.. Do what women do all the time in the dating game..
LIE!!
Tell them you have a job, just make one up..
"I'm a flange management consultant".. Or something..
Then again, why waste time trying to impress the fat slaggy trash that gives it the "im worth it" BS on dating shites?"Women...

Re: A fundamental flaw in womankind: Men support unemployed women, but women don't want unemployed men.
So she can twist this to make it look like a mature judgement on behalf of these women? Funny how there's always a ready excuse, isn't it?
And I suppose men's so called "acceptance" of unemployed women masks a deep-seated desire to have control over all the money in the relationship, and a yearning to subjugate women in general?
Further evidence that it's permissible to draw complementary conclusions about women even from base data that makes them look bad. But it's forbidden in popular debate to draw complementary conclusions about men even when the base data makes them look good!“Sometimes the first duty of intelligent men is the restatement of the obvious.”

I have no problem supporting an unemployed man. I'd love with all my heart. I just hope they don't mind living in an apartment and eating in most of the time. lol

Re: A fundamental flaw in womankind: Men support unemployed women, but women don't want unemployed men.
I’m pretty sure it’s not attention FB gives them.
Anyway, Survey Finds... ‘Unemployed Men Undesirable To Women.’
No shit Sherlock! And I wander if these employment racketeering academics will next month find something along the lines of ‘ugly women, undesirable to men’, (generally).
The point is, our feminist culture promotes the condemnation of one timelessly obvious observation of human nature being ‘objectified’ by sexual excitement, whilst projecting there is no equivalent gender opposite.
People make it sound like, ‘Oh, we couldn’t have known this, we need a study to suggest it’, and then ignore it, but we’ve always known men physically objectify (adore actually) women for their physical merits. And I mean adore, just look at millennia of art work projecting that adoration.
But I can’t see such adoration for men for their wallets, just culturally veiled greed, that’s the real objectification of a gender, but nobody outside the MRM would have guessed eh? So we got to have a study for it which our feminist culture will dismiss, belittle and rationalise.

Re: A fundamental flaw in womankind: Men support unemployed women, but women don't want unemployed men.
Women judge men who choose to not work, very harshly. However, they think nothing if a woman chooses not to work. Its a huge double standard.
I know a woman who has never worked in her life, her husband has always provided for her, and she did not even work during the year and a half that he was unemployed. She stays home (no kids). Her and her husband have suffered in some ways because she chose not work; they aren't rich and barely get by. Most people think nothing of this, yet these same people will criticize a young man who still lives at home with his parents - EVEN IF he is working. They will call him a lazy bum and other names.

Re: A fundamental flaw in womankind: Men support unemployed women, but women don't want unemployed men.
Then that's their problem.
Young men who work and go to school while living with their parents, don't deserve any criticism.
Sadly, the drones and sheep will criticize a productive young man who lives with his parents before they criticize a teenage trollop who is unproductive and can't stay sober.Last edited by Zuberi; 7th-July-2012 at 12:38 AM.

Re: A fundamental flaw in womankind: Men support unemployed women, but women don't want unemployed men.
I know a guy who works all day, and when he comes home, he expects his dinner to be on the table. His wife has a "sure fire" response to this:
"I've been working hard looking after your kids all day. You cook it!"
To which he replies;
"I drove the kids to school at 8:30 this morning. Now what the fuck have you been doing all day while they were at school?"“Sometimes the first duty of intelligent men is the restatement of the obvious.”
