The farmer tells it how it is
We have a reality show in Australia "the farmer needs a wife"
similar to the bachelor but its half a dozen single well to do country farmers looking for a bride as there is a large disparity and much more men in the country than women
anyway I hate these shows but I applaud what this one farmer said - because he told the truth as he see's it and his right to say so should not be censored

IF TV farmer and Deniliquin desperado James is wondering why he's hit a dry spell with the ladies, he might perhaps consider whether it has something to do with what's coming out of his mouth.
Dissing the women he's meant to be wooing on Nine's matchmaker series, The Farmer Wants A Wife, the 36-year-old sheep and wheat man has dipped himself in it by blasting his two "picks".
Suffering from a bad case of foot-in-mouth disease, James first bagged one suitor, Cherie, as being "rough as guts", then condemned the other, Toni, as no more than an aging "body clock".
The blond boofhead made the remarks, sure to win him no female fans, after deciding against dating either of them.
"I chose Cherie because Ithought she was a character, but once I got to know her she was as rough as guts," James said in the latest edition of TV Week.
"She needed a 44-gallon drum of spit to shine her up! The only reason I picked her was because I didn't have much choice. Some of the other guys had 200 women apply, but I only had 24," he said.
"Toni was the next pick - she's got her head screwed on and owns a house, but I'm really looking for someone a bit younger.
"She's 36 and when someone is that age, the old body clock is ticking. You want to know someone a couple of years before you jump into (having kids)."
While the fussy farmer will be forced to make his intentions clear on next week's episode, the women he slighted said it all yesterday - with their silence.
A spokesman for the show was unable to contact Cherie, but said Toni "politely declined (to comment) and doesn't want to enter into a debate with James".I hate pink ribbons

Re: The farmer tells it how it is
What is there to applaud? The guy is a complete arrogant abusive oaf. With this attitude, he'll make the husband and father from outer hell.
He is 36, and that is quite long in the tooth yet he hopes to catch a spring chicken that also is a brooder.
Even if the lady was a tramp, there is no need to make a noise about it, he just want to be a ass for no gain at all.
This idiot would not last 5 minutes with a sane women, which is why he is still single at his ripe old age and desperate enough to make a spectacle of himself on national TV.

Re: The farmer tells it how it is
What is there to applaud? The guy is a complete arrogant abusive oaf. With this attitude, he'll make the husband and father from outer hell.
So, he is asked for his opinion, by the ones who pay for all of this, and he gives it, honestly and to the point. He is quite specifically referring to these two women. Whereas all the women in the world who make misandric remarks that are far worse about ALL men, sight unseen, are not arrogant and abusive?
He is 36, and that is quite long in the tooth yet he hopes to catch a spring chicken that also is a brooder.
Did he line up with lots of other men in a competition to 'catch a man' as all these women did? Do you think any of these women would be lining up to catch a sixty-five year old farmer? Silly question . Of course they would. It's the money. Farms start at $20mil and go up. What do they bring for him, apart from 'themselves' ? He could have been 10 years old and he'd still have had 24 women lining up. Strike that; make it 240 gold-digging female pederasts.
Even if the lady was a tramp, there is no need to make a noise about it, he just want to be a ass for no gain at all.
So if she is a tramp, he stays silent? I suppose he is expected to 'suck it up', 'be a man'? As for his 'gain', there is nothing but a woman in it for him to gain, while for her there is him and a large fortune.
This idiot would not last 5 minutes with a sane women, which is why he is still single at his ripe old age and desperate enough to make a spectacle of himself on national TV.
So, women flocking in from all points to 'catch a man' isn't as desperate? He is single because, as pointed out for all of these men, he is working morning, noon and night feeding the nation, while these women are polishing - and sharpening - their fingernails.
A stupid chauvinist is not the sort of 'hero' you want to laud...
Chauvinist? Nah narhnie nah. Not much use telling you to get f*cked, is there. There is about as much chance of you getting one as those women have.

Re: The farmer tells it how it is
Yes you have the point, the show pays idiots for behaving like freaks, so they do, and my point is that you laud applied dysfunctionality as a great example of manhood, instead of seeing through the fog and realising you're looking at a complete idiot, not a man, but a boy in a 36-year old man's body.
A good test for settling such things is: Would you let your daughter date this guy? (and would your daughter bother in the first place?)
I think your paranoid tho if you think all women are dissing all men misandrically all the time. I guess there is always the temptation to rib feminised men about their ephemeral masculinity a bit, and that could possible be construed as man-hating by the poor pathetic dears, when it fact it actually is a friendly reminder to grow a pair.
As for (wo)men being gold diggers, well, it's difficult to date if you're rich you don't want to end up supporting a pauper who wants to marry your money, so, rich people tend to stick to rich people -- if Mr. Angry Farmer is looking outside of his normal sphere, most likely he no longer was welcome there, which would be no surprise, given his social ungraces. I recommend pre-nuptials, and, in general, dating a real person instead of a plastic doll. And I notice that despite all his money, he isn't exactly flying off the shelf, wonder what the reason could be?

Re: The farmer tells it how it is
Oh yeah -- ANY BOY can succesfully run a farm -- I mean how hard could it be right -- It doesnt take a man to be out there in all weather slogging away dawn to dusk -- ANY BOY who has drunk a carton of milk can do it
But you and the PC brigade can not handle a no nonsense bullshit telll it like it is man.
I have more respect for a man that says to me in the eye "fuck off your a idiot and I dont like you " than some snivelling little fuck who talks diplomatic double speak
Percy your comment

Interesting is it not Percy that any time some one says "suck it up and take it like a man " is basically asking a man to do something that is not in his best interest to do

The guy's entitled to his opinion, of course. What comes of it, comes of it.

Re: The farmer tells it how it is
Being competent at one thing does not mean you're equipped for another. Many people who have a first in math are social disasters, despite their exquisite intelligence in their academic field.
I'm not seeing the male liberation warrior that you're rooting for at all, just a rude, paranoid yob without class.
Is hissing and gibbering like a fishwife manly nowadays?
Women certainly have changed for the worse, but men also have -- not having dads has resulted in them behaving like women in stress situations (ie, nag, moan, pout and bitch). No wonder people fight like cats in their marriages nowadays, meow!

Well THAT makes them attractive, on face value, right there. While the fussy farmer will be forced to make his intentions clear on next week's episode, the women he slighted said it all yesterday - with their silence.
The simmering pot, stalking "allies", and the most destructive opportunity to explode, does not.

Nepenthes said:
I decided to have a look at the program myself carefully to assess the 'idiot' factor. (For me, carefully watching TV is to have it on behind me when the computer is on).and my point is that you laud applied dysfunctionality as a great example of manhood, instead of seeing through the fog and realising you're looking at a complete idiot, not a man, but a boy in a 36-year old man's body.
No-one appeared to be an idiot or act idiotically. The farmer's were uniformally pretty good chaps who had done the hard yards all their lives and behaved like reasonable chaps. Most of the women were as one would expect - ordinary women - and some were princesses. The very ordinariness showed in the usual ways with the usual low-key misandric comments and entitlement comments sprinkled throughout.
To many viewers I would expect the misandry and entitlement were like wallpaper. The farmers picked up on them though, even if they didn't immediately give them a verbal box around the ears.
I see also that Nepenthes is showing colours that are far from MRA and hasn't seen the program.
