ok,ok, I seem to have made a BIG mistake

this is the part of the e-mail i screwed up on

In order to be a superhero, we would have to meet and I would need a resume and a criminal record check.

Having a criminal record does not automatically preclude you from being a superhero, it is more for our information so we are not caught off guard by media questions.

my apologies and i have no excuse for what i have said--my mistake

i still do not think that it is right for women to be going to bat for men on this issue-this is one instance where fathers need to be fathers and stand up for them selves.

Yeah, I recieved a reply to my e-mail further clarifying their position,

Good morning Kimberely

That is not actually correct about our membership policy. LOL

Anyone can join as a member, and in fact, over 30% of our membership are women! LOL

The only time a criminal record check is maybe asked for is if one of our members wants to be a Superhero Supreme, like Batgirl. Then we need to know prior arrests, legitimate or not, so we can better inform our superheroes of potential charges, incarcerations etc. from doing a high level action.

It would appear their main concerns about criminal records is merely to inform and protect their activists.

Having cleared all that up, I hope this will be a good activism opportunity for you, Outdoors, and other Canadian fathers.
