Don’t Be That Guy’ ad campaign cuts Vancouver sex assaults by 10 per cent in 2011
And they know this how?
more..The message on the poster is blunt. A young woman in red tights and a skimpy black dress is flaked out on the edge of a couch, her head turned away. A few wine bottles are on the floor.
“Just because she isn’t saying no doesn’t mean she is saying yes,” the poster says. “Sex without consent = sexual assault. Don’t Be That Guy.”

from the comments;
In reply to above comment;I still think, they should change the law, that everyone is responsible for their actions.
I this situation, the guys are always at fault even if they do not have a clue where they are and what they are doing, and are held criminally responsible for actions out of their normal realm. If a guy is drunk and goes out with a girl, also drunk, and none of them are in control, why is it only the guy that is suppose to be charged, I think that if a girl or a guy goes out and drink too much, they are both responsible for not making the right decision.
And for those how disagree, how come if a guy goes out and wakes up in a room that he does not remember, and finds out that a girl that has a crush on him dragged him there, it is not considered a rape if he never said yes? and good luck to the guy if he tries to make allegations, she will certainly say that he raped her, and he will go to jail for it, no even one question asked.
If a guy is sober enough to get an erection, he's sober enough to know what he's doing and be responsible. If he doesn't remember the details of a sexual encounter, it's because he kept drinking afterward.
Can a woman ever force a man to get an erection against his will? I really doubt it.Last edited by outdoors; 21st-January-2012 at 10:21 PM.

Pete is always 9 yards out when I wake up... Yep you dont need to be sober or even feel sexual to have one. That isn't mentioning what we do see...
Feminists as usually have no idea what they are talking about...

My reply on the above link:
It appears that fabrikk has no concept on how rape occurs, else s/he would understand that rape can cause involuntary physical reactions, such as an erection or in the case of a woman, she becomes self-lubricated. If ignorant folk would educate themselves before promoting sexism against men (misandry) like fabrikk is doing, life would be a lot easier for everyone.

But seriously, where did the 10% statistic come from?

Greed is for amateurs.
Knowledge without wisdom is a load of books on the back of an ass.
Scorn and mockery towards men in need is one of the reasons feminism is dying as we speak!.

feminit allegations agin men and rubbery feminit statistics have the same credibility as were allegations of that Bolshevik rag Pravda agin the bourgeoisie who were the chosen bastards of the lying creed of Marxist Leninism ( in a nutshell- what yours is mine and what is mine is my own)

You don't have to be sober, to get an erection. Brewer's droop sucks for many of us, but I hear some guys manage growth downstairs, no matter how great their intoxication. If a guy is sober enough to get an erection, he's sober enough to know what he's doing and be responsible.
So, having an erection is consent? So, the next time I make a woman wet (okay, okay, wishful thinking on my part), that's consent, right there, is it?Can a woman ever force a man to get an erection against his will? I really doubt it."There are lies, damned lies, and there are feministic statistics". Myself
"Behind every bitch, is a FEMINIST who made her that way....". Myself

Let it not be unsaid that many women who did not consent, also got wet. The erection = consent thing is therefore a non-argument.

Ok, first of all, to the guy who said this:
"how come if a guy goes out and wakes up in a room that he does not remember, and finds out that a girl that has a crush on him dragged him there, it is not considered a rape if he never said yes? and good luck to the guy if he tries to make allegations, she will certainly say that he raped her, and he will go to jail for it, no even one question asked"
If that guy didn't want to have sex with that girl, it IS rape. And saying that if he makes allegations that the tables will be turned on him is just ignorant. It's up to that guy to speak up for himself, just as it's up to us women to speak up and speak out against our attackers. Even then it doesn't mean that any charges will be laid or a conviction will occur, but at least you've tried.
To the person to argues that:
"If a guy is sober enough to get an erection, he's sober enough to know what he's doing and be responsible. If he doesn't remember the details of a sexual encounter, it's because he kept drinking afterward.
Can a woman ever force a man to get an erection against his will? I really doubt it"
That is complete hooey. Total ignorance. First of all, an erection is a normal physiological response to sexual stimuli, fantasy or otherwise. And to say that a man has to be sober to get an erection is also garbage. Not to mention the argument that if you can't remember the details it's because you continued to drink afterwards. Who's to say not remembering anything has something to do with drinking? People are drugged all the time for the purposes of sexual assault.
The amount of ignorance posted here is baffling. This isn't about feminists. This isn't about man vs. woman. This is about an alarmingly high rate of sexual assaults occurring while at least one of the persons involved is under the influence. This campaign is about raising awareness. In the past every single ad campaign has been directed at women protecting themselves. What is the harm in also looking at the flip side and raising the male population's awareness?
