Of course, the study was done in the N.American gender marketplace where there seems to be a powerful urge to assign a 'dollar-value' to every human feeling. This may be viewed as cynicism or realism, depending on one's own point of view.

Nevertheless, the results are intriguing. Perhaps the best that can be said is that men and women look for different things in a potential partner, because their minds work in different ways. (I can only say that because I'm not the president of Harvard and have nothing to lose).

It's often said (by westerners) that Asian women embrace men of other races because they are so poor that they'll take whatever they can get, as long as dollars are attached. This is patently untrue.

In most cultures outside of 'Femidom' there are many other factors to take into account. For example, the potential value of long-term loyalty, cultural tolerance, understanding the benefits of a symbiotic relationship for one's own good and, most important, 'family first'. It's hard to ascribe dollar-values to these things.

The theory goes that once everybody in the world has enough money they will embrace the same values as those nations that already have plenty of it.
That theory doesn't work in the developed nations and has even less appeal in the wider world.

The fact that African-American women were the most 'picky' is significant.
Could it be anything to do with 'perceived status'. Practically every Hollywood movie has a black female judge, feisty Police Commander, kick-ass lawyer or School Principal (while 90% of their sisters live in poverty).

The mens movement spends too much time bemoaning the events POST dating, and it makes me shake my head when you see the same blokes that fuss over child access etc then go and walk striaght up the same blind cadbury alley under the skirt of the next she who must be obeyed..

The behaviour of men during dating has a lot to do with it..

Drex I totaly agree with you. Especialy since I am now basically on my third wife and have been robbed of my money and my children. Even after the first two went horribly wrong, I just had to jump into that game again, knowing I don't play worth a shit.

I divorced my third wife a few years ago.. In my defense though I was manipulated into my last 2 marraiges as at the time it seemed the only way of ensuring I could be a dad to the kids I had spawned with the mothers..
I see men getting shafted royally in all ways and they still treat dumb women like princesses..
Not me, oh no, I have always been a good honest bad-un who treats em with due respect.. I.e. none in most cases!!
Believe it or not, it actually does nothing to reduce the flow of fanny wanting to try and tame one..
I think the key to success is to know we men will never actually acheive anything as long as we let women manipulate us..

This also points to the argument by many of Asian women having the best chance at a happy link up. I had one guy take me to task on this, and I said it only increases the odds and is no sure thing. In defence I said if you marry an Asian whore from a terrible family you will get it just as bad. He wrote back that in fact he had married a women from a brothel and gotten screwed! Duh!

Still as a happily married man of over 12 years to a Japanese lady, with a very good reading on this staying happy, I can't say it enough to you guys. Get yourself off the blonde hair and boobs (that will sag) and find an Asian woman from a nice traditional family. Asian societies that are more traditional are a better place to go fishing for a nice girl, former communist basket case socieites lower the odds though have girls with the blonde hair and boobs. Talk to Galactic to hook you up there.

Increase you odds of finding a nice one is just common sense. I can't tell you much more but for god's sake use your head and avoid visa card girls that don't treat her parents respectfully. It is an easy step to then treating you respectfully, and you her.

I'd second that it's very important to observe the girl in her home environment - see how she relates to her family and friends.

Plus you'll increase your chances if you can get out and about, away from the tourist areas of big cities.

It's a big investment - ya gotta do the research!
